It's not just that. The Eagles have been a factor here, too, with the Bradford contract.

Ftr I think Bradford is a good Qb who had trouble getting started last year, coming back from injury. There were issues with the CS, too, obviously. Point being Fitz is not as good a Qb as Bradford. But having said that, Philly is giving Bradford a lot of money.

If Macc finds a way to get Fitz back at less than market value I salute him. There is no way in hell Osweiler is worth that. But I'm expecting miracles....

First round tender is only a little bit over $3million. Which is probably around what Keenum is worth as QBs make more money in general. The Rams giving Keenum, a QB, that tender does not necessarily mean they "like" Keenum - it merely means they would like to keep him on the roster.

if he was a safety or something and that represented a big jump in pay, I'd say it means something, but as is I would not read too much into that

All the contracts are getting ridiculous. I love Snacks but $10M/yr? That's crazy money for a run stopper.

Where's the rumor or even hint of a rumor of Fitz going anywhere? He may want Osweiler/Bradford stupid money but I'm not sure anyone's offering it.

Starting to realize why Fitzpatrick is a journeyman QB. Finally comes to a team who embraces him and gives him weapons, AND THE STARTING JOB, and he decides to get greedy. Shame.

If the goal isn't to just make the playoffs but to win the Super Bowl, the Jets should let someone else pay Fitz $19mil+

If Kaepernick doesn't want to go to Denver or San Fran won't trade him this is going to backfire. Fitz is a better fit for the Denver offense than RG3.

Is Kaep a good fit in Chan's offense?

This is if we get worst case scenario and lose Fitz to say the Broncos

I'm fine with losing Fitz to anyone.
He had a great year and he's a good, gritty and smart quarterback.
    But he's very limited.

I can understand Fitz wanting $19M a year, but he has to realize no one is paying him that.
His best years are behind him.
The reality will soon hit him in the face...HARD!!!

The life of a Jets fan: Checking your computer/phone all day to see if an average QB like Fitzpatrick is coming back or not. And being ON EDGE about it. :D:Do_O:(

Where'd all that leverage go, Fitz?

Wow. Things may work out for us after all. They know Fitz is a very risky play. Glennon would be a good pick up.

Kap is a gimmick who's been figured out. He rolls out, runs, or makes an iffy through. He's not a reader of defenses or a pocket passer and never will be. Not a believer in him
