I am actually really curious about this now. I tried a few searches on Google but as mentioned above it only brings up "stars" holding out. Is there anyone on Fitz level who has held out into camp?
True, but 3 and outs are better than straight turnovers/pick 6's which Geno and Sanchez before him used to throw regularly.
Just like your photo of Trump, you sound suspiciously like a racist. You THINK you know what we have in Geno. To dismiss him after only 2 years of play under the combination of doofuses in Rex and Mornhinweg is asinine.
If Fitz won't get on board, Geno, Petty, or Hack will be on the field. Simple as that. I want the JETS to win, and I could care less who gets it done. As far as physical skills go, Geno may have the upper hand. Fitz has the experience/mental aspect of the game locked up. If Fitz had Geno's arm, or if Geno had Fitz's head, our passing attack would be top 5! Since Fitz hasn't signed his name, I pray Geno has matured, refined his skill set, and is chomping at the bit in anticipation of the upcoming season. He has the best weapons around him he has ever. If he is ever gonna shine, it's this year or bust. Fits doesn't deserve the money he wants. He would be stupid to pass on what he was offered. In my opinion, he knows this, and is gonna sign at the 12 o clock hour. I hope Geno plays to Fitz's level from last year, and we have a true QB battle in camp. Wouldn't it be great if the JETS played a season with 2 capable QB's?
Neither the team nor Fitzpatrick seem to be greatly concerned that a deal has not yet been made; why are so many guys here so crazed about it?
In 2014, Geno had 13 INTS and 3 lost fumbles in 13 Starts/14 Appearances - 16 TO's in 14 games In 2015 Fitz had 15 INTS and 2 lost fumbles in 16 Starts - (Virtually 15 if you account for Oakland) 17 TO's in 15 games Take a look, fact is Geno only had 2 games with multiple INTs in 2014, one being the Buffalo game, Fitz had 4 games (All we lost, but should have won) with multiple INTs in 2015.
I know your post was not intended as only this, but I just wanted to comment on the biggest fallacy on this board - Fitz is not some kind of mental QB guru. He has a consistent history of making poor decisions while running and in throwing the ball. He is in fact pretty low on the scale of QB IQ. He is not Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Drew Brees -- Hell, he couldn't even hold Chad Pennington's jock.
Mario Williams was a #1 overall pick, been an All Pro multiple times, been selected to several pro bowls and averages about 10 sacks per season for his entire career. He is a worse player than Fitz?
Nothing was ever stated as fact by anyone in the position to know. Because this ain't Rex. This is Mac and this FO doesn't talk.
lol and the drastic difference of the rosters the 2 QB's played with. Shit and coaching staff at that.
Fair enough, when you consider Fitz had Marshall as well it doesn't make for good reading for him. Good post.
