Then why is there a 24 mil deal on the table? I think its 12 mil up front as well

Both sides are dumb here..FTR.I must have seen at least 5 or 6 more posts to not pay him BIG money....Well hello hes not asking for a 140 mil Luck deal

There are also some posts saying "he not a Franchise QB" Well we know that Hes stopgap before Hack can be ready

I don't know is half the Board realizes the negotiations here are about a couple of mil more his 2nd and third year as I recall his Agent Sexton wanted

I Like this FO and Mac but they should front load him a little more $, not force him to submit. On the other hand Fitz is also not smart not signing as he will be sitting at home prob.

Some will say if we pay him a dime more he will sh*t the bed like in Buffalo...again the risk here monetarily is minimal based on the offer now

I know I represent the minority here but this has been handled poorly. Most of the NFL is laughing how this nonsense has gone on since March

If this continues its a lose/lose situation unless you are a GenoBot or think Foles or whoever we get off the dumpster heap is better

Unfortunately Mac and Bowles have become GenoBots

Why do you say it was handle poorly? Because they have set a market value and do not want to go above that? AS for Fitz position, he has 0 market outside the jets... so his bargining position is poor at best. In addition your supposition regarding the league thinking is speculation at best. As for your GenoBots comment... sometimes it better to not make unsubstantiated comments, they have a tendency to make one look foolish.

This is basically the entire situation in a nutshell.

The way it generally works is that a player goes out there and establishes his market and then if the team gets an opportunity and decides to do it they match the best offer.

The Jets instead gave Fitzpatrick an above market offer, which he couldn't find the equivalent of anywhere else, and he for some reason chose not to take the above market offer they gave him.

It's nuts. But the Jets have cap space issues anyway so having him not take the offer has been a blessing. It's given the team longer to figure out how to make the cap space if they eventually do the deal.

What are Fitzpatrick's options now if the Jets move on? Maybe a team like Denver could give him a 1 year, $6 million deal. Can't think of many other places right now.

New England Patriots 1 year @ 8 million with 2 million guaranteed (1/4th = Brady suspension)

Don't you think the Pats are more likely to try to sneak-preview Jimmy Garoppolo while they still have Brady coming back for at least the rest of the 2016 season? It's a way to get Garoppolo's feet wet and the Pats seem to always go 2-2 at the start anyway.

Sure they will play him and hes good. Kid broke all of Romos college records

Idzik had opportunity to draft him, DCarr, Bridgewater Mettenberg but no he thought otherwise needing to roll the season with Geno his pick out of WVU

The Hoodie up in NE grabbed him of course

Funny how history keeps repeating itself with Geno Smith and the Jets

I like him a little coming out but he was drafted too high and anyone thinking he is the second coming needs to slow it down. His 1 of 4 for 6 yards against the Phins last year was really impressive.

Similar to the "omgz NE signed that shitty player we just cut and is going to rape us with him" phenomenon.

    the lightning flashed as angels
rode fiery chargers through the clouds
that answer scared me into tears
and all the grown-ups laughed out loud
    now the years roll on
    tired voices have all gone
and they ride their thunder through the heavens

taking potshots at my obtuse, retarded gibberish is all well and good, but attributing Bon Jovi lyrics to moi? Them's fightin'words Rex : )

    you want gibberish?,...

....NotSatoshi and RexontheBeach had reached the point of no return and it was at that very moment they both knew they could wait no longer - that they needed to engage each other in full congress right then and there on the spot. In a flash, in broad daylight on the side of a near-abandoned country road, the two threw caution to the wind and found themselves in a writhing heap, fully ensconced in the throes of unadulterated carnal passion.

NotStoshi was a fully-tumescent, gleeming stallion possessed; RexontheBeach a swollen, wet, and anally-besotted male-mare whose glandular scents rented the air with notice of total abandonment...

As NotSotshi continued to violently breach Rexx's gaping nether crevice with each and every thrust of his Irishesque monument to manhood, RexxontheBeach's undulating hips arched higher and higher to receive the onslaught of NotSotshi's unrelenting love tusk, causing an earth-shattering climax to well up inside the now throughly convulsed musculature of Rexx's taut, athletic loins; a climax the likes of which he had never experienced before and whose brutal intensity threatened his very soul when suddenly.....from out of nowhere, a UPS delivery truck attempting to negotiate a blind curve at an excessive rate of speed struck the two young lovers, killing them both instantly.

    The End. :)
