My main points in that post are after the Sanchez comparison which I should have said 2011

I agree and going by numbers doesn't tell how well Sanchez played in 2010.

What crazy amount of cash? you mean 140 mill like for Luck???

the Jets offer today is 24 million with unspecified guaranteed money... 12 front loaded plus 6 mil on last two years of his 3 year deal. Fitz wants an extra 2 mil over the last 2 years

In week 17 the punter, the CBs and the whole team played badly...so our QB has a bad day and its all his fault? SMH

When did you hear Fitz doesn't want to mentor QBs?

This stuff is just getting old

The deal we are offering him now is as far as I would go. At the end of the day, despite the special teams issues, he threw a back breaking INT in the redzone when we were driving. He threw 5 interceptions in 2 games against the Bills. He is not a franchise QB and it's unacceptable to have that many TOs.

Jets as a whole played like shit wk17, but again, just have to say you cannot throw those back breaking INTs in the RZ. You just cannot do that. That was easily he worst throw of the entire season. That throw alone probably cost him like 10 million. I think we'll see a lot more throws like that next season if he were to start.

I'll always respect Sanchez for his post season performances.....2010 he was really good too, it's a shame our GM didn't keep the same team together

Its well known Charlie is MMs mentor and I assume they talk...Iam trying to conceptualize what might be going on behind the scenes thats all

Overreacting? The person MM should have drawn a line in the sand with was the money hungary Revis but Mac did not blink an eye giving him 39 million fully guaranteed. Even if he is good the argument for tying up so much $ in one player is clearly the case there Down the road the Market is going to dictate outrageous sums for good players and i think a good GM should be careful. Look at the Colts why can't Luck just take 100 million and save his club 40 million??? How much negotiating when into that deal...prob not a lot cause Luck is young and talented and for that you get overpaid imo

So if you are a journeyman with some talent and getting older you are put through the mill. Plus you are popular with the starters (including Revis) who all want you back. Just don't get it. forcing Geno on the team is a psychological demotivator The Jets have to make a simple $ compromise and not much more than there offer

There is three weeks to TC. Most teams have the QB position decided But the FO wants fool with the most important position on the team.If you play for the Jets and you think this uncertainty is not affecting the players you are just being naive

Right now I am not sure who I dislike more Sexton or Mac

I've been sleeping all spring on this forum not posting, and we're still talking 2010 Mark Sanchez. Christ.

Not to mention Chris Ivory was uncovered in the flat ..easy check down.. could've scored if he broke a tackle or two like he always does.

Face it: the real reason for this anti-FO crusade of yours is that they chose D-man instead of Lynch.
All this BS you're pulling is just that: bullshit.
Mac is yet to make a glaring mistake. Unpopular moves/absence of moves -- sure, but no glaring errors.

By this point in Jets tenure, Rex twice proclaimed Jets to go to the WH, had tattoo of Sanchez and made his sexual preferences known. Idzik already made his draft disaster happen.
Mac didn't draft a guy you wanted. Boo-hoo! Get over it; you don't even know if Lynch will be any good.

Dude's a borderline troll. Most of his posts are bullshit and he tends to talk out of both sides of his mouth.

What are you talking about ?

I guess you cant respond to my post and your searching for dirt...since when are talking about the draft? oh you are

Who cares about Rex and Idzik?

Mac came highly recommended and make no mistake hes brought a lot of good players here and made some great deals eg Bmarshall Fitz Forte Clady etc

He also made some mistakes imo ...hes human

That I am not a front office homer is your problem....its uber frustrating that the 2 sides here cant agree...and no that's not all Macs fault

If you read Serby in the Post today he has a good compromise: pay Fitz 21 mill over 2 years 18 guaranteed. The Jets face a horrendous schedule but at least Fitz gives us a chance Plus your locker room is happy

If you think Gino/Geno is the answer well we agree to disagree

NFL 360 did a piece on Brandon Marshall tonight, I don't think I really appreciated him enough until he was here.

Is he among the top 10 receivers in NFL history? He ranks 22nd all-time with 882 catches. But the ridiculous part about his resume is how consistent he's been despite the uncertainty around him. He has 6 seasons of 100 catches or more, most ever. He has a 1,000 yard season with 4 different teams, most ever.

Here's a list of quarterbacks he's had a 1,000 yard season with: Matt Moore, Chad Henne, Kyle Orton, Jay Cutler, Ryan Fitzpatrick. He has the record for most catches in a game (21).

All this despite being whipped from team to team, battling mental health issues and never playing with a good quarterback. I'd love to see him carry Geno like he's carried everyone else he's ever played with.

Speaking of that, it's about time for the Marshall honeymoon period to end here. What's the over/under on the number of games before a BM blowout?

Eh, he usually gives about 2-3 years per team before an episode. He might retire before it's time for another.

Idk. From what I recall, O12 was pretty decent until the draft. The Lynch thing really got him obsessive compulsive though.

You basing your theories on an article, a TV interview with heavy dose of home made speculations. Selby wrote, Casserly said... whatever.
Nothing so far states that FO are settling on Geno, or want to cut him, or love Fitz, or hate Fitz. This is the beauty of this: they tell nothing. And so all your far reaching conspiracy theories are complete speculation.
You can base you crap on whatever show or opinion piece you want. It's still pure speculation because FO is quite.
