Revis wants Fitz back. I wonder who has a better pulse of the team? Revis or Namath? https://www.nj.com/jets/index.ssf/2016/06/darrelle_revis_ryan_fitzpatrick.html _
Never dawned on me until now, but based on Bowles line about not needing Fitz back until training camp starts, perhaps Fitz is just enjoying a prolonged offseason.
Vets hate OTA's and Fitz already knows the system. It would not surprise me if that is what is happening. http://www.usatoday.com/story/sport...14/aaron-rodgers-green-bay-minicamp/85871706/
+100 At 39 million fully guaranteed, bout time Mevi$ steps up as the true Face of this Franchise He speaks for the Silent Majority of players who wants Rf back Gotta love Namath as a player but off the field he always had those unpredictable antics hehe
I agree with you, and said in that game thread that 50% of that interception is on the coaching staff. that call HAS to be either a back shoulder at the pylon or fade to the back corner where either your guy gets it or its out of bounds. my point was more so that being harvard educated isnt the same as being able to process things on the football field and make the right decisions and understand your limitations. and while fitz made that throw a bunch before, in that spot you have to understand that you can do anything BUT turn it over there. and it wasnt some remarkable pick. he just didnt flung it assuming it would be open. not putting it all on him at all. that was a team loss, and one i put much more on bowles/gailey/mac(why is quigly the team still there) then the players. more just illustrating that being from harvard and having mega intellegence isnt really a factor, he made tons of boneheaded mistakes including a huge one in a huge spot
Is this mega intelligence really worth $12 million per year? http://presnapreads.com/2016/03/29/2689/
I think Luck, overall, as a team was something we significantly benefitted from last year, and one of the reasons im not sold we are some lock to win 8+ games with fitz back. We were pretty healthy for the most part. defensively we really didnt lose much. a guy dinged up or a player for a week. nothing major. we had some fluke luck like when fitz threw that pick and then marshall stripped the ball. that was an enormous play. offensively we lose smith and ivory/mangold were banged up at times but those arent major like say the pats losing both offensive tackles for the year. tons of dropped picks, at least a couple that could have turned a win into a loss. we also faced a coouple teams when their starting qb was hurt. the weather was unseasonably warm end of the season, fitz didnt deal much with weather which with his arm could have hurt us.
i dont view fitz as a good game manager. good game managers dont turn it over as often as he did, dont complete such a low% of passes, and are better on third down

Silly me ....I didn't think of all the things we already know about RF Maybe you'll like he is our best option at Bridge QB Not sure there is anyone out there you wouldn't be critical of
High $$ = best player? Not always I'd prefer a hard-working not show-offing guy. Lorenzo Mauldin would fit the bill -- in a couple of years if/when he progresses enough to be permanent starter and contributor. For now -- probably Mangold Actually, how about Todd Bowles -- for now, and foreseeable future. I think he fits the bill of hard-working no-BS, and local guy better than anyone else
Haha, I remember when Sanchez was an OTA god year after year and everyone thought he was going to take the next step as a result but it never happened. Damn you Sanchez, you made me hate OTAs!!!!!
