Show me where I said anything about how much to pay anyone. What I said was Fitzpatrick is still considered the number one QB because the Jets have no one better - why complicate the issue talking about how much receivers make? You're getting carried away here; one would think the Jets were tied for the division lead and going into Gillette Stadium this Sunday.

You guys think that around Thanksgiving some guard is going to miss a block that causes a turnover and it can be blamed on the guy being "distracted" this week at mini-camp. Sheesh!

This offense has been tailor made for Geno....Fitz had to step in last year because of injury...He knows the terms that the OC uses, but I doubt they ran the spread up in Buffalo, could be wrong but Fitz don't seem like a spread kind of guy. So, if the offense was make to compliment Geno's talent then lets see him run it.

    Good going Stokes.

Now you've gotten the GeNo bots united against the sensible folk.

    Next they'll be voting Trump.

I think that every QB on the team is better that Fitz...And so does this board......go back and read some post about Fitz in his Buffalo days...when he was in his prime..if you call it that...now that he's got Deck and Marshall to bail him out...he's a great QB now.....And Geno won games with nothing at the WR spots...as a Rookie and second year player but he's a backup at best....yeah y'all not baised...

The Jets don't want Fitz and Fitz don't want the Jets...we have one of the toughest schedules in the league this year Fitz will get exposed as the fraud he's all was been...lol but you like him...you want him....go buy some billboard and skywriters!! Put you money where your mouth is! That will get him back!!! But be careful what you wish for.

    A self inflicted wound.

I gave fitz the benefit of the doubt before, but after seeing this I could care less if he's back. He has dragged this on this long with that good of an offer on the table? Christ

    Peace F*kker

IDK, I find that hard to believe. He'd be an idiot not to take $12M year 1 of a 3 year deal.

Since the start of FA, having seen reports range from lowball offers (below Chase Daniel money), to now this decent offer, with other numbers in between, I'm of the opinion that literally no one except MacCagnan and Fitzpatrick's camp know the specifics. It's really not worth going crazy over until it's official that he's signed/not signing.

    1. After months of silence there is a report? A little suspicious
    2. If true Fitz is waiting for stability while Mac offers high $ for what amounts to a 1-year deal.

Glad it's Post, hope manish and Costello starve sucking each other tweets.

What are they waiting for? Camp to end perhaps? Not like Fitz needs two-a-days since he already knows the offense like the back of his hand. But if he signs now he can't exactly skip minicamp and the first part of training camp. I kind of think he's pulling a Strahan circa 2007...

I don't even know anymore, I mean really. This off-season I've floated back and forth between checking every day for news of him resigning and feeling like he can go funk himself. I'm sure many of my fellow Jets fans feel the same and are now burned out on all of this. Don't get me wrong, I'm excited about the new kids and I'm eager to see how that plays out; as always. Unfortunately, all of the feel good from last season has gone right down the damn drain.
