That's a good one Hobbes, Socialist Security. Again some of these "socialist" concepts were only a reaction to a problem. That people were living check to check and had nothing to retire on. So the gov helped them out with it so they have something other than poverty to retire on. Same with the ACA and other "socialist" programs you hate. A reaction to something that isn't working through the market place. Because those supply and demand concepts that the market will bring fairness doesn't always work esp in a country with 300 million people. What the market brought in health care were bad policies, people not being covered and people uncovered going to ERs and the cost going to us. It's far from perfect only because of the Repub Congress who won't let them change it for the better. They just want to eliminate it with no replacement just the same old from the past. You have to regulate business because they've proven they can't do it on their own. If that's socialism then ok. I want all people to have good health coverage and I'm willing to pay more if I can afford it.
The party blocking the black vote are the Repubs. And this is racist. The racist Dem history was in the Jim Crow south and that was many years ago. Blacks voted the 90% for Obama. The Repubs think they shouldn't be allowed to vote at all.

What's racist is: gerrymandering, redistricting and unreasonable voter ID laws. (when voter fraud is a fraction of one percent). You can also add to that cutting voting hours to make it harder not easier to vote. All to keep some people (on purpose) from voting. And intentionally targeting minorities who vote Democratic. Well Bernie Sanders could do the same thing and run as an Independent, too. That could kill Hillary if she's still around. A Repub moderate even Bush could win. Bush if elected will have more problems with his own party than with the Dems.
