^without your caption, I would have guessed a Jeb Bush rally...lol.

What's his strategy of bombarding everyone with ads but not Trump?

It's too late to try to convince people to support you - you had all of 2015 to do that.

^ loved that moment in the debate. Cruz is 100% correct.

Also, border security IS national security.

I like Cruz's strategy of NOT going after Trump and to keep beating up Rubio (like that ad above).

I think he wins Iowa (by maintaining his own support and to steal Rubio's support with the votes) and that should propel him to the NH/SC/etc...

Trump is starting to lower his own expectations in Iowa while I haven't seen anything about that from Cruz.

China, China, China, China, China, China, China, China, etc. The suits will build the Donald up as the guy that has to take on those problems and then they'll offer him his choice of the two cabinet seats most capable of making an impact. You think his ego will let him say no when it is presented in that way?

Yes, his ego is so big that he has to be always in charge. So, it's the White House or bust.

If that's really the case he's going to tear the GOP into pieces by the general election.

The GOP establishment types probably never figured that someday the inmates were gong to try and take over the insane asylum.

The inmates are already in control. The establishment never figured that they'd have to fight tooth and nail over an entire election cycle to get some semblance of control re-established. It's not clear they can do that. If anybody but Bush, Rubio or Fiorina is the candidate in 2016 it will represent loss of control of the apparatus by the old establishment. If Trump is the nominee it will be a total rout.

Ftr I am hardly about to claim that the GOP is a well run party at this point. But the possibility of a brokered convention is real this year. In fact Trump seems to have a ceiling of support, and is unlikely to win the nomination outright. At that point would say Cruz throw his support to Trump? I doubt that - Cruz is just as big a narcissistic egomaniac as Trump is. Maybe more so.

If Trump fails to win the nomination on the first ballot, which is still the most likely result, anything can happen, including the establishment forces the convention to accept a candidate they can accept.

Now the bigger picture is that the white vote that is the core of the GOP base is diverging between the working class less educated (the dumb white people) and the pro-business college educated. I am sure you agree. This is a huge problem for them.

But the problem becomes bigger over time. In the short run the GOP may continue to dominate at least the House, despite having nothing but an anti-minority us versus them pro-gun tax cuts for the rich and everyone else pays for them platform. What a disgrace.

I think brokered convention is where we wind up and the most favored candidate of the establishment, Jeb Bush, is the big winner there. I think Ted Cruz goes on the bottom of the ticket as the person most likely to stop angry shrieking from the Tea Party and the person best able to attack Trump (after holding his fire all year) if the Donald goes on an independent rampage.

I don't think the GOP has much hold on the pro-business college educated at this point. There just isn't anywhere else for those people to go unless they're pro-business/liberal social, which is an emerging demographic with a few highly visible champions (Warren Buffet, Ted Turner, Richard Parsons, etc.)

Cruz is 100% full of shit there. if bankers were crossing the rio grande he'd be the no.1 advocate for an open border so he can continue to line their pockets and cater to their every need. its only an economic issue when he can attack poor people. Cruz is the biggest shit bag in the race. bigger than Trump

You don't understand due process. Neither does that film. No government in the world, including the US at any time in it's history, required a trial and a judgment before the government can limit any of your actions. SO there's that.

Nor is there any evidence that the no-fly list is filled with people who should not be on it. Yes, maybe there's some anecdotal evidence here and there of that. But the right thing to do is to improve administration of the list. Not allow some member of al Qaeda to go to a gun show in Las Vegas and buy a .50 caliber machine gun or several assault rifles because you and people like you have this paranoid fear that the gummint is out to get you.
