I had this same feeling when the Hudson Brothers Show was cancelled. Gonna need a moment or two here.
It is hilarious to see guys like Bush endorse Cruz. If you told him he'd be doing that a year ago he'd call you crazy
Theoretically speaking, it could be construed as a signal that the establishment should line up behind Cruz to prevent Trump from reaching 1237 on the first ballot. This would also explain the calls for Kasich to drop out that are increasing from day to day at this point. The idea would be to have Cruz take enough winner take all states to deprive Trump of 1237 before the convention. His best chance of doing that is one on one, without having Kasich dilute the anti-Trump vote. Cruz is extremely unlikely to get to 1237 by himself at this point. The flaw in the plan is the same one that has been gaining significance since it became clear that Trump was looking like a run away leader in the race: you can't offend the hottest segment of your electorate without consequences. Really, the GOP needs to settle on a candidate before the convention and unite behind them and neither of the leading candidates represents the GOP electorate as a whole at this point. Cruz is a throw-back social conservative, who is more right than the party wants to field in a general election and Trump is a force of nature who has the power and volatility of a cat 5 tornado sweeping across the right half of the political spectrum. Libertarians might well desert the party in large numbers if either of them got nominated. The social conservatives would likely accept a brokered convention, with somebody else inserted as the candidate, however their preferred candidate would have been Marco Rubio and he lost his own state in the primaries. The "new" Trump voters would likely abandon ship if a brokered convention ousted their champion when he was just short of a majority on the first ballot. This is what a political party on the shoals looks like and Jeb Bush is the centrist (in the GOP) trying to steer it off the rocks. The problem is he's got nowhere to go that is not also rocks.
And people want him as president because he is anti establishment. Why not vote for Bernie same anti establishment platform with experience
Can't say I've read Bernie's wanted policies I haven't investigated them and am aware he is a socialist. But I was just stating the "status quo" is the reason why Trump and Bernie are there (I know one is winning and one is not). I think the populous wants to hit the reset button. And I know or would like to hope these two are willing.
We have a growing section of the country who wants to abandon the constitution and turn this country into what they want it to be instead of what the founders wanted. It's sad really and it is only going to get worse
I'm not familiar with this. What parts of the constitution specifically are they trying to abandon and what are they planning on replacing it with?
Playing the outsider's one thing - this out-of-bounds shit's a whole differnt ballgame. Speaking of which, is this loon having 2nd thoughts about the gig to where he's going to "up the ante" from this point on and play GOP mad crapper for laughs?
You speak as if he hasn't been playing out of bounds the whole time. "If Hillary Clinton can't satisfy her husband what makes her think she can satisfy America?" For the record I am neither pro nor anti Trump at the moment.
