So not only is Ted Cruz a phony. On an interview with Megan Kelly on Fox News a few days ago he wouldn't answer her questions about Trump's claims that he'd deport the 11 million illegal aliens. And if he's such a fundamentalist Conservative as he claims shouldn't he be violently opposed to much of what Trump is saying. And he's proven to be uncompromising. He engineered the gov shut down and is threatening another one. Do you know how much the gov shutdown cost? $24 billion.

Reagan set on us a destructive course that will ultimately bankrupt us. He passed the part of the program he wanted to pass and he failed to pass the necessary other half. It was like austerity minus the austerity.

Hopefully we never have another "savant" like him in office. They're the real destroyers in the Democratic process.

Cruz isn't the guy that has me worried this time around, it's Paul who could finish the job of destroying Democracy.

He had many more executive orders than Obama. And talk about lying. Did you ever hear of Iran Contra? The best thing Reagan ever did was Death Valley Days.

Where's the proof of any negligence by Hillary. And there's been a half a dozen investigations. And one run by Repubs said nothing wrong was done. Millions of dollars (and you call yourself a Conservative) spent to deep six a Dem politician using our tax payer dollars. What s fucking waste. Plus you're saying Reagan was so great. Hillary isn't even getting the nomination.

And besides what does Hillary have to do with Reagan. The only Clinton you can compare with Reagan is her husband.

He got all of the tax cuts he wanted and very few of the necessary matching spending cuts.

The deficit and the national debt have gone downhill consistently since the Reagan Revolution. That's because he only won the battles he prioritized early on and lost the second and third waves. Then he finally had to backtrack on taxes, passing the largest tax increase in history in 1983, but by then the damage was done.

It feels really good as a politician to make good on the promises you made to the voters during the campaign. Especially when you make good on the popular ones. Failing to make good on the other half of the bargain breaks the bargain even if it takes decades for the ramifications to sort themselves out.

Ted Cruz will never have the political capital to get any of his agenda passed. He'll get small things done in the first hundred days and then he'll get buried by the realities involved.

Rand Paul on the other hand has a single issue that he's focused on, the Flat Tax, and he could easily get that passed in the first hundred days. Then he'll discover what Reagan discovered in the summer and fall of 1981, which is that as much as people rail against big government they don't want you to take any part of their honey pot away.

What Reagan managed to decimate was educational spending, in the forms of grants and tuition assistance and basically interest free loans. He managed to get that through because most college students don't vote, whereas everybody else was like "get your government hands off of my Medicare" (to paraphrase from the ACA fight in 2010).

So Paul will get his Flat Tax through and then go through living hell as the reality that he doesn't have the votes to cut any major government department sinks in. Then he'll work a deal that kills something and in the next year he (and we) will discover that the cleanup costs of cutting that thing are at least as expensive as the cost of keeping it alive.

We'll be in a financial crisis before you can say Boo and it could easily be the kind that we don't recover from, as something critical like, oh say the dollar's status as the world's reserve currency is what winds up as the casualty of the crisis.

I can already see the huge smile on Rand Paul's face as the Flat Tax passes. What happens after that will reverberate for decades. We're not living in the 70's any more. Our ability to do really risky things with the economy is now burdened by what has happened in the next four decades.

FDR had 16 times as many executive orders than Obama, I fail to see the correlation between high/low E.O.s and rating how good a President was/is.

Funny, I read plenty about Benghazi in the news. You must watch the wrong shows and read the wrong papers.

You still didn't answer the question. The proof. Not your right wing allegations again.
