JD says he is not shopping Q but for the right offer he will make a deal. I dont know what the right offer would be. You start rebuilds on the line of scrimmage. So it would basically have to be two first rounders. But Q is only 21. He IS the frigging future. You dont trade young talent. There would be almost no sense in making a trade unless it was a massive haul. And even then it would be hard to justify. JD is giving me acid reflux.
Lol...ok so at what point do you actually start keeping some of those young guys? I’m not huge on Q as I think Josh Allen would have been the better pick for us, but now that he’s here, I think he’s shown enough that he can be one of the building blocks on the DL...we need two OLBs like mad, and with that, he’d be much better
I'd be against this trade but after trading an All Pro in Jamal Adams? Q can get it too. Jamal was the heart and soul of our defense; Quinnen isn't. We have 4 first round picks over the next two years. We might as well trade Quinnen Williams for another first rounder. Giving us 5 first round picks to ALL BE DRAFTED FOR OUR OFFENSE. Trevor Lawrence? + 4 other 1st round picks to build an offense around him? Sign me up. I loved Jamal. Q has not made me love him. At all. Trade his ass like we did #33. Fk it.
Why would any GM trade a player 3rd pick pretty much consensus at the draft, although I wanted Allen because we need edge, trade a 22-23 yr old player with high upside for a lower 1st round pick, probably late 1st. Not reasonable! Only a dysfunctional organization would do that! I have never seen in my history watching NFL! Just not prudent. Think about it, would SF trade nick bosa? That's why I've been so pissed about the Jamal Adams trade. With that said. Might as well. Trade Q for a 1st and we'll then have FIVE FIRST ROUND PICKS over the next two drafts. And All 5 better be used on offense.
I believe KC could trade for him. Their DL has been exposed lately. Maybe we can get a late first and a third for him. I would do it even though I liked him at Alabama.
If Douglas trades Q then he's signalling a complete tear down, and in essence doesn't want any of Macc's players in his foundation. That's pretty bold. Are the fans really ok with a complete tear down at this point? When the hell do they start building up? I'm not a big Q fan, and am not opposed in concept to trading him, but I'd want more than a low first and a 3rd. Maybe he wouldn't fetch more than that, but if so I'd keep him. He's finally starting to consistently produce. That said, he is getting subbed out and doesn't play all the snaps - is that a Greg Williams idea ir can Q not actually play all the snaps? If he can't play all the snaps at this point then I would be more inclined to get rid of him and maybe that's what Douglas is basing this on.
On the one hand..i never liked the pick & we need more picks. But on the other this will just give them an excuse to draft another IDL early & defense all together. My heart cant take that..
Trading players because last guy drafted them. That has got to be the dumbest thing I have ever heard. If JD/Gase doing that, we are more dysfunctional than I thought! That would be total ego maniac kind of stuff. And might say unproductive and recipe for disaster! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
For years, we've all advocated a complete tear down. If JD does exile QW, then the tear down is in full force. It might be a good idea to queue the Fanbase in on what the master plan is. That is, if they want to have fans at all over the next 4 losing years.
This would be the straw that broke the camels back for me. This guy is the only good player we have and is doubled. No edge help, no nothing. And a friendly rookie deal. Why trade? for a top 3 pick? Better get back a 1st and 2nd or two firsts. Doubt they trade him.
Or maybe he could at least trade Q to a team that will finish with a top 10 pick so we can get Trevor a #1 WR lol
I’d send this dude on the first train out of Ny in a nanosecond for a 1st and another pick. Sam for now & Mekhi only untouchables on team.
If Khalil Mack can get traded then Q is not untouchable, I bet if JD had Mack he would not trade him. I call Hornet on this one. I don’t believe he will trade him, however I do believe that his focus on building a team is pretty straight forward. Prime positions to him are OLB, QB and Oline. DT can be had with UDFA and FA signings, or later round draft picks. No one is going to give JD what he’s going to be asking for Q anyway. I’m not worried about this rumor.
