Not sure I said your country as a whole was racist tbh, was replying to the guy who wanted us all to stop harping on about it, in my mind if people stopped harping on about it racism will flourish once again. Voting in Obama proves little when you vote in Trump right after
Folks. Can we please leave racism discussion to platforms like reddit and focus on sports? I won’t delete previous messages but any new message about racism will be deleted.
My biggest concern with hiring a coach that wants full control is coaches often only think short term and leave teams in very bad shape when they leave. I could see Harbaugh coaching for 3 to 4 years and leaving the team in cap hall for another 5 years. When Parcels left it took a new CBA for the team to eventually get out of cap hall. In 2002 we lost 6 staters to get under the cap. We had to constantly shift money to future years while losing players and not being able to resign our own. A coach in full control scares me quite a bit.
Not sure that I want Harbaugh, although he will attract interest. I think he's got the potential to be Rex like in approach and Parcells-like in that I would only expect him to be here about 3 years before he bolts
Of course. In all seriousness, don’t know whether or not I want Michigan to win this game. Is he more likely to leave after a win or loss? If we double his salary does it even matter?
I know very little about college football, some would say and the nfl lol I don't know if he will be a good coach for us or not tbh.
Michigan starting to get stomped by Florida. 20-10 and Gators driving. John, you can't win at Michigan, come to the Jets.
Right--get those tow mixed up--the crazy one at Michigan. Much prefer John but I don't think he's leaving Balt. I'd take Jim, right after McCarthy.
This has been an entertaining Bowl game. @Big Cat with a good question: Would it be better for Michigan to win or lose? Don't think it matters too much, cause you could look at it both ways. If Michigan wins: -Go out on top. -Inspire Jim to stay and get Michigan to the next level. If Michigan loses: -Time to jump ship! -Inspire Jim to get this thing back on track in 2019.
But there is another effect you haven't mentioned - if they win the fans and local media will be reasonably positive for the next 8 months, but if they lose there will be loads of negativity and agitating for him to go. Harbaugh strikes me as someone that doesn't like being called out on a regular basis. Unfortunately, that is also a big reason why he could be a dismal failure coaching the Jets. Whatever else you may say, Bowles never let the fans or media visibly affect him in any way.
Interesting stat that may have been mentioned: Harbaugh is 1-9 against teams in the top 10 if they lose today.
