Fuck this trade deadline... the sooner it's over the better. Trade Adams and keep Gase? That's the wrong way round.
I will say: If Adams doesn't want to be a Jet, and it has felt that way for awhile, that is on him. Not much the Jets can do. His cry baby attitude and immaturity has been disappointing this year. All that social media crap. I wanted him to be a leader. Having said that, he is still a great player and an important piece to the team. It sucks losing him no matter what the Jets get in return. He brought this on himself though and I am sure he is happy about it.
If this is Douglas call then I am okay with it and that includes Adam's, Bell, Q, Anderson and ANYONE not named Darnold for that matter. If you can turn any one guy into multiple picks then go for it, we have so much to do that we need to stockpile enough picks to do it.
I partially agree with this. When you have a young, potential FQB, he isn't gonna develop if he doesn't have skill players around him. Also, skill players can be some of the toughest to add that are good fits scheme-wise and character-wise. You have to grab them when you have the opportunity.
Hang in there guy. You're one of the best and most optimistic posters here. This place will really hit the skids if you leave. I will understand why you feel like you need to, but if so, hope it's only for a short time.
I'm all for rebuilding and letting Douglas, Hogan, Savage and CO rebuild the right way--but NOT with crazy Gase at the helm. If this is indeed a tear down....we need a program builder at HC.

The way he removed all the Jets stuff from his social media and cancelled his radio interviews rubbed me the wrong way a couple weeks ago. Again, I think that is just immaturity though and he will grow from that. I guess Jamal and I are staying!
I can understand why that would rub you the wrong way. It did me as well, but I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. No more. He needs to grow up and fast, or I will want him shipped out. I'm glad that you're both staying.
I don't understand why so many people were against this. Now, we probably will have to take less at draft time in order to trade Jamal. The handwriting was on the wall a few months ago, most just refused to see it. And with his press conference today, it has been confirmed.

With the season Bell has had the Jets will be lucky if they could even get a 3rd rd pick back while eating some salary. I’d take the pick.
This is the best or worst bit I read in this article... "It’s that Gase favors a passing attack and doesn’t value running backs highly. He believes he can get by with a complementary running game."
