it'll be a league minimum salary since Ed Reed has offset language in his contract.

    Who gets cut; Reuland?

We bolstered our secondary THURS, agreeing to terms with Ed Reed a day after the veteran S cleared waivers.

And now he will actually have to show up to play if we wants to be on a team next year.

Perfect for what we need. Allen and Bush can learn a thing or two from Reed and as long as Rex doesn't try to make him an every-down safety, it will pay off on the field as well.

And this all happens because of Reed's relationship with Rex. People love to play for the dude. Not that Idzik needs to find more reasons to extend Rex, but this certainly is ammo in the arsenal.

He will help in many ways, even if it is not on the field. Welcome to New York, Ed!

Next person to say "we are not a win now team" should be banned.

SNY and WFAN reporting it's happening with Ed Reed. Maybe Holmes will play before everyone forgets about him. Hey, Fireman Ed may come back too!

First he has sucked all year but he got cut because he said the coaching staff got outcoached last week. So, he is not the ideal guy but he has a relationship with Ryan and I am sure he can keep him in line.

What is the risk to this deal? We aren't trading any players or picks, and the contract will surely only count against this year's cap. If we have the cap space, why not use it? It would just go to waste if not. There is literally no risk whatsoever with this signing.

We are in the playoff hunt past the halfway point, so we might not be a "win now" team---but we are winning......now
