make a move for someone that has shown to be average, and never give their 2nd rd pick a fair shot? doesn't make sense to me....... unless they think Clemens really SUCKS.

Campbell last year was very good for the Skins. He is obviously smart by contiuning to learn new playbooks. Campbell with a good o-line and a running game can be successful. He is very similar to Pennington but with a stronger arm and more athetlic. A lot would be what we would have to give up

Over 500 pass attempts with only 6 picks isn't "average" - that's a very fucking good statistic.

Campbell also played behind a shaky offensive line this past season - 38 sacks allowed which is bottom five in the league...Campbell only lost 1 fumble.

the skins are my second favorite team and I watched a few of their games last year. like others have said, he's a smart qb and hardly throws any picks (which is the type of qb Ryan prefers) so at the very least you can apply the "game manager" label to him. don't let this cloud your entire judgement on him though--he has above average arm strength and can run around really well for a qb. I'd trade a third for him in a heartbeat. I'd hafta think about it for a second rounder tho.

Campbell's favorite target to throw to last year was his tight end chris cooley. should this rumor prove true, I have no doubt that he'd take a quick liking to Keller, who has an above average skill set at te.

Good one, I was thinking the same thing. It seems like the J-E-T-S have been associated with everyone this off-season except Ken Stabler and Otto Graham...

    They've been shopping him for a minute...hows 'bout a 4th?

Kellen will be better than him for at least this year though.

Something still tells me that Rex is gonna try to work out a draft day trade for Troy Smith. Although Boller getting picked up by the Rams makes this less likely than I originally thought, I still think there is a good possibility. He is a Rex Ryan guy, expendable to BAL with Flacco's emergence, would be an all weather QB, and would come way cheaper than the QB's in the draft despite having a comparable college resume.

The average individual score is said to be 21; the average NFL player's score is reportedly 19. A score of 20 correlates to an IQ of 100.

I'm an experimentalist--I can never keep track of these tests--I will remember from now on.
OK--28 is good. If we can get him on the cheap, great. Nothing higher than a third though.

I don't think Campbell will ever be anything more than average. I don't support this rumored move....

    No thank you on Campbell.

Other "Campbell"s I would take before Jason:

    Colin
    Chunky Soup
    Earl

If all these rumors are true...Our QB's must have looked like complete shit during camp.

I'm willing to bet all these stories are bullshit. Tanny is looking to leverage something, but I don't think it's for a QB. Only thing, he's all over the board. If it's smoke screen, what are they trying to maneuver?

    -Heavily in talks for Bolden
-In talks to move up to the 8th pick
    -In talks to pickup Campbell

    What's next? Favre's coming back?

Please stop throwing around "average" like it's an insult. The Jets probably would have made the playoffs last season with an average quarterback.

If you can get Campbell for a 3, you abso-freaking-lutely do it. I would think about it for a 2.

I don't think people understand that right now, the Jets probably have the worst quarterback situation in the entire NFL. Average would be a tremendous improvement.

If they are going to dangle a 3rd, why not Hasselbeck.

"Rumors" also floating around that he's on the block.

The Jets were thinking a getting Miles for a 2nd rd pick, but then they didn't like that but at least they got to talk to Dallas unlike the week before when they wanted to give up their whole draft plus Clemens for Cutler. They then went back to the WR option and are in heavy negotiations to get Boldin while at the same time unsure if it might be better to go with a QB and trade up for Sanchez and give away a third of their draft picks because the Jets only have 3 QBs who are unproven and want a 4th unproven QB in the mix and if this doesn't work out there is always the Brady Quinn option, another unproven QB, who the Jets are supposedly hot for except Jason Cambell also is someone the Jets are hot for. Did I miss anything?
