I never said he was good at his job. You check my posts, I've been bashing Mac since Day 1, but I am happy Adams fell to us and we got Darnold despite the cost. But to this DAY, all I hear is Mahomes, Mahomes, and an occasional Watson mention. Maybe this isn't about your view, but others. Darnold has a shot to be just as good as those guys IMO. At this stage, I am judging Mac based off how he's building around a talented QB, and right now the lack of attention to the offensive line is a huge issue.

Speaking for myself, I'm only speaking of my opinion, I state it just like everyone else here who believes in themselves. But aside from that, there are reports out there that have rated the draft and show that the Bills and Pats and Dolphins all had at least as good or better than the Jets. Since the Jets finished last in the division, I hoped they would've improved over their rivals, but they didn't.
You should hear Mahomes over and over again because it was a colossal miss. Not enough is made of it in the media IMO. We passed on Mahomes because we had Hackenberg
Most of those who support Macc seem like they think we're still rebuilding, at least a year away from the playoffs.
Mac still missed out on several players that were available despite making those trades and getting Adams. Orlando Brown Jr, Chris Godwin, there are plenty of good players we all mentioned on this board that Mac could've gotten.

Knocking on the door. Last year, if Bowles wasn't an asshole and Bates wasn't calling horrible plays ... Jets should've won 7 games, and THIS was suppose to be the year we return to the playoffs. Trajectory has been thrown off due to regression in the coaching department. But Gase and Williams, might be good enough to get us to 9. We got some good players this off-season, but the C position could derail the season.
The "best safety in the universe" got us Bell and CJ Mosley. But I am sure Mahomes and Bates would've totally knocked the Patriots from contending
I know this isn't directed towards me, or at least I hope it ain't ... the rebuild was done when we drafted Darnold ... I am pretty sure I made hating on Mac cool on this board.
I think that's a little ambitious even for Mahomes, but I would bet that we would've made the playoffs with Mahomes and the other talent we didn't get because of how Macc played his cards.
This makes no sense to me. Why should Bowles poor coaching last year have any affected on this year? If this was supposed to be the year we return to the playoffs, why is it not now because Bowles is gone and we have more talent?
What did I miss here? Am I supposed to be jerking myself off over Bell & Mosley? I don’t know about knocking off the Pats just yet, but with Mahomes at the very least we would be one year ahead of where we are now; that’s me being conservative again.
Did you see how many games we blew in the 4th QTR last year due to lack of adjustments / game-planning / dumb mistakes? They blew a 16 point lead to the Titans who struggle so badly on offense. Players like Long were never benched like in the Fins game, and it led to a 10+ point swing. We have more talent, addressed the pass-rush and hopefully we have coaches who game-plan to ATTACK each and every down. Bates was a horrible play-caller in the RZ. How many more reasons do I need to list?

No, but you keep saying this about Mahomes, we would not be a year ahead with him here, the red shirt year Bowles an his minions would have fucking ruined him before he got his starting chance, talented lad that he is, no way would he have excelled under those incompetent cunts and with not a lot of talent to throw at, maybe Robby would have been best suited with Mahomes here. No run game to keep defences honest wouldn't have helped the kid either, I think you should be happy that your prospect landed somewhere he could excel and not get ruined.
