I think this is the answer and that’s fine. The Dolphins defense dominated Lamar Jackson last week while running the same cover 0 all out blitz 75% of the game and I’m sure the Jets don’t want to expose him to that. I do not believe Wilson is still hurt. Mike White has had about one good game and one bad game and that’s what we know. He likely sucks but I’d rather try to find out then watching Flacco. This also feels like some sort of optics for trading a draft pick for a guy we didn’t need. “At least he played a game.”
For real, the only thing more exhausting than this team being awful year in and year out is the fans being so reactionary and overthinking everything.
Joe Flacco as starting QB for the Jets is really not what I thought would be (or wanted to be) the case at this point in the season - still I should've guessed it - SOJ after all
I watched a bit of that game... looked like the Dolphins were in a 8 man front to contain Lamar and pressure him. No need for that with Flacko or our O-line... they'll be able to apply pressure with less guys on the line. The win depends on our ability to out score Miami... our defense is horrendous. Tua is getting the start I believe... so it is doable.
This is how I feel too. There is absolutely nothing to be gained by starting Flacco. Nothing. Starting White gives additional information with which to assess whether he is a long term answer at backup qb. I think it's a really bad decision.
That was sarcasm. The same people that wanted him benched so he could learn are the ones saying he's now healthy and he should be playing if he weren't so terrible. It's hards to follow sometimes.
Playing Joe Flacco does nothing at this juncture. Literally. Nothing. We trying to win now? For what? We trying to play for the future? Not with Joe Flacco running the show. Wouldn't the smartest fucking play be to play the actual backup, if that is In fact his main fucking purpose on this team? Instead. We shit can the kid after one bad game against the leagues absolute best defense. This team is a fucking joke.

The guy who has been covering the Jets the longest doesn't seem like he thought Wilson was ready to play against the Bills. The only full practice for Wilson last week was Friday and that was with the scout team. Today was limited practice. Jets fans can be insufferable. I get it but come on. The story shouldn't be whether the Jets are babying Wilson's ego. It should be why they threw the towel in on the White Knight.
I don't even have words for how dumb this is. We're in the middle of a lost season and have a chance to get the backup some reps,a backup who has done well when not matched up against the league's best defense. Now we're rolling with Flacco. I guess this was to be expected when we stupidly traded a draft pick for the guy. At least this means that Saleh's seat is getting warm. It should be red hot after Tua hangs 45 on us
Who wants I watch Joe Flacco? Cmon what’s the point? Maybe JD/Salah want ZW to watch a SB experienced QB run an offense. Not sure. But for me, starting Flacco seems senseless. Over the last 6 years the jets have made some of the stupidest decisions, from Bowles, to Gase and now Salah. This is what an inexperienced CS does when the heat is on. I guess this is acceptable as long as the roster is full of rookies and the CS is learning the job as they go.
