Roman Catholic God Fearing Man here.

The Bible is closer to a novel than a science book.

    This shit is funny.

    In a respectful sorta way.

So the whole bullshit you've been spouting that everything about religion can be explained by science.

Until the whole supernatural religious thing can't be explained by science.

Do you understand how stupid you continue to sound?

I never said "everything about religion can be explained by science." You're making stuff up now, putting words in my mouth and using that to call me stupid. Nice.

What I actually did say is that science cannot explain the origin of the universe. How it came into being out of nothing. I'm still waiting for someone to try to answer that one for me. Until somebody does, nobody can reasonably argue that God does not exist. If God does not exist, and science can explain everything, then you have to be able to explain how the universe began using science. And so far nobody on here has even attempted to do that. They just blindly dismiss religion and/or hurl childish insults.

Aaaaaahhhh so the absence of a scientific reason for something makes you jump to the conclusion there must be a God.

That sounds logical. Top 5% in your high school class you say?

Another ridiculous statement, because we can not be certain the origin of the ultra dense pocket of hydrogen which exploded to produce the universe, something that happened 13.8 Billion years ago, then the rest is magic?

Little by little scientists are proving more and more and little by little the church, because of the work of those scientists, has to admit the science is correct.
The church started out believing in a geocentric model of the universe. Galileo used the Copernican heliocentric theory to prove that wrong in the 1600, the church after the trial and condemnation of Galileo, which included house arrest until his death, did not stop the ban on heliocentric works until 1757 and in 1822 finally allowed the printing of books on the subject in Rome.
The church has just recently accepted the Big Bang and evolution after denying it for some time, even distorting it to claim it fits right in with their explanation for the origin of everything. As scientists prove more and more the church will need to accept more and more until they no longer have a leg to stand on to defend their reasoning for all around us.
I guess until that time your magic still at least has a little hope.

Yes but God DID stop that snipers bullet aimed at the Pope.

    That is undeniable.

Well, at least it can't be disproven so that's what happened.

    Right?

The problem is if the universe "began" in some way and came out of nothing than there was nothing before it, meaning also no god.
More probably is that all matter has always existed being that matter can neither me created or destroyed.
Or the more current thought merging the Law of Conservation of Matter and the First Law of Thermodynamics is that the mass-energy of the universe is constant, thereby always existing in some form.

It makes absolutely no logical sense to fathom that there was absolutely nothing, but this all powerful god. There was either nothing or there wasn't. If there was nothing than that would include your god.

The answer is so clear it is undeniable. God did not create Man, Man created God out of ignorance and trying to explain the unknown.
Some people cannot still come to grips that this is all there is, they cling to some ridiculous ideal that there HAS to be more than our existence on this earth, that there has to be some greater meaning to their life.

Apparently my God is more powerful than your God.

Sorry but how do you explain the free help some of the top Natzis got from the Vatican in order to obtain phony passports for their getaway to safe havens in Argentina? eg Adolf Eichman, Martin Bormann and prob. Mengele

Vatican also notoriously silent while Holocaust took place
