From the replays, it looked like he was maybe open a few times, but why would Manning even mess with it? It's not worth it when other guys are more likely open. The word is out and QBs don't want to get burned by the guy they expect to burn them.
If I recall correctly, on the one catch Wayne did catch for the yard, he was rocked by a hit by Revis. After that, we didn't see/hear from Wayne for the rest of the game.
That hit that Revis put on Wayne after that 1 yard catch assured that Manning wasn't going back his way...
I'm a big fan of Reggie Wayne, but cmon man, he's held better receivers than Reggie to worse games. He should put the ball from that one yard catch in a case and show his grand-kids.
This has got to cause some tension between him and Manning! I love it. And fuck whoever the hell was interviewed at the end there. I guess we have to give them credit. Don't give us shit. Just go the fuck home sore loser!
Like others have said, it was a brilliant game for Revis. That play Wayne caught his lone pass, Revis dropped back 10-15 yards before the snap. A little screen to Wayne, Revis laid the wood on him. I never seen a CB who has great speed and such perfect technique. He's literally a shadow of the receiever...he seems to know to use the sideline to his advantage and when he see the WR looking, Revis does the same, just simply an amazing talent.
Where is that dumbass Colts fan that said Wayne played well last year because he caught over 50% of the passes thrown to him with Revis on him? I wonder what he thinks of Wayne catching 100% of the balls thrown to him last night.
I actually wish I had the time and patience to go thru this forum to find all the "Fuck Mevis! We don't need him! Our D is fine without that greedy fuck" posters from August/early September.
