You can now also call them a team that has prevented the Red Sox from having the chance to win back-to-back titles. The Red Sux still have a long, long, long way to go to match the Yankees history. The Yankees won three straight WSs in recent memory. The Red Sox will not win consecutive WS till 2010 at the earliest. That is a long wait, mister.

Thank God. sooo, with all the magical moments the Sox have had these last 4 or 5 years they got no where near repeating the Yankees most recent dynasty......this makes me feel good....also thinking about those ugly fucks in bars all across mass. and New England crying over this makes me happy as well

Blah. The Sox need to re-tool this off-season and this Rays team isn't going away. There is no way Tampa looses the World Series. Just no way, and it's not because of "momentum" it's because they are fucking good. I have to admire their players for coming back like this. But I fucking hate every single Tampa Bay resident. Any team that has scantly clad cheerleaders dancing on top of dugouts after games should be ashamed of themselves.

Any huge loss for Boston is a big win for America, god I hate that city and their fans and hope they suffer playoff chokes like this and the super bowl for the rest of eternity.

I don't know if too many people live in Tampa Bay. Maybe Derek Bell. He likes boat life and is from the area. He could be down there these days- I don't really know.

He deserves it. He was just absolutely filthy tonight. Couldn't possibly do anything with his pitches. This game could have easily gotten out of hand early but it didn't. What a special young talent. Although if JD Drew gets a hit in his 8th inning AB it probably goes it him instead.

Price struck out Drew, Bay, Kotsay, and Varitek in consecutive ABs.

Garza had the kind of game he's capable of having at home.

See all those fake ass fans screaming up and down like if they know what's actually happening?

That place has been an empty mailbox for years and all of a sudden...*poof*

I've actually been there and the stadium litterally looks like one of thos old skool round metal submarine things.

I'm rooting for NYSouth. Bring it home rays, So they can trade you all away in the clearance sale!

Well, I called Rays in 7 also, but I never, ever would've thought they'd do it by beating Lester twice.

Whew all that reverse psychology on my end worked. I decided to stay out of thread as I didn't want to jinx the Rays.

It appears the sports world is starting to allign back to the way it should be.....

The Pats are a borderline playoff team.... (although the Jets are still a disgrace)

The Sox got the hopes of their fans and their city up by rallying in dramatic fashion and having a shot to win but somehow somebody failed in a huge spot.

Hey the Celtics are the most storied franchise in NBA history and their on top, I don't like em but I can live with that provided the other two work out the way they have in 08.
