I do Tee. I cleared the main story mode of the game. It's insane. Definitely GOTY if we're going from January on (MW2 was in Nov.). Aside from possibly Fable 3, I can't think of a game that's even going to touch this masterpeice.
I've been watching some video reviews and I'm really pumped for this game. I absolutely love GTA and love the setting
whats better is that the developer (Obsidian), has a decent amount of team members from the original Interplay Fallout team. this game is going to be better than Fallout 3 by far IMO. which means more dialogue options, better AI and developed, more involved side stories and character development for your companions. alot of things were better in 1 and 2. its just the games so old unless you played them when they first came out its hard to understand how badass they really were. AS FAR AS RDR i havent had a WHOLE lot of time to play it but yeah, the game kicks absolute ass. love the randomized events in the wild. for all the action one of the best things is the presentation and graphics, aside from some hiccups and glitches that come from such a large open world sandbox game, its quality gaming to its core IMO.
Yep. Had a lot of time since I graduated on Monday. I've literally spend the past 72 hours either playing this game or drinking with the occasional shower/food run sprinkled in. All I can say is, this game is INSANE. I haven't played the Fallout's so I can't comment on New Vegas. Maybe I should pick the first two up. Ah shit I wish the game wasn't pretty much done. I'm not one to try to 100 percent things and do stupid little challenges so it's either onto multiplayer, or back to NHL 10 for me. Aside from Madden, there's not much in the video game world I have to look forward to until Fable III.
Have you guys tried out the different weapon executions? It's pretty awesome to point a rifle at a bandit's face and blow his head off. I still haven't had a cinematic kill with the knife - I'll try it later.
omg i just saw this review im buying this game TONIGHT ive been dreaming about this sort of game for a western since the beginning of video games. btw Once upon a time in the west is the best movie ever...for the western buffs
I agree, the story sounds badass right now, there's going to be a lot going into this game, more weapons, weapon modifications, better relationships with certain factions, Fallout 3 is my favorite game of the next-gen of consoling but when NV comes out, all hell will break loose, can you imagine going to Area 51 especially if you know how the story is and how the world is completely fucked up? Just thinking about it drives me crazy Once that game comes out, i'll be stuck in my room with a 12 pack of beer, plenty of greenery :breakdance: I've been thinking about RDD for a while, and the whole western thing doesn't sell me, but we'll see I need more time to think on it
Has anyone else noticed that the first song you hear in RDR sounds a lot like it's from Lost? I believe this is the right one: Compare: It could just be a coincidence but if not it's kind of cool since Lost is ending.
On treasure hunting.. What is the proper procedure once I feel like I've located the spot? The first map with the noose I mean.
