^^^ Non-chain video game stores are a lot more lenient about releasing games before they come out. At this point you might as well just wait another 3 hours, but if you really want it now or just want to know for future reference shoot me a PM and I'll give you the name of the store. Been playing a few hours now and it really seems like everytime you travel to different towns at least 2 or 3 side missions come up. Most of them are deeper and more interesting than the sidequests in GTAIV.
Theres a gamestop thats about 20 minutes away doing a midnight release. fuck it ill make the drive. i really want my hands on this game.

I saw my buddy playing this Sunday night and how far out they rendered this game is freaking ridiculous. It really is insane. The game looks absolutely beautiful.
I picked it up earlier today and played for about 2 hours. So far so good, I am really enjoying it. There seems to be a lot of texture popups and screen tearing, but I guess that's hard to avoid in an open world game.
You are all making me envious, as i get little time to play anymore. Did manage to squeak a half hour of Resistance 2 yesterday though. I look forward to playing this one someday.
Got it late yesterday played for about 2 3 hours. Graphics are incredible. Game play seems pretty good. I wish the punching interface was better so I could capture the bounties alive easier. Anyone figure out how to capture a guy alive I did 2 of them and I couldnt figure it out I ended up capin their asses
Or lasso them, which by the way may be the best feature of this game. The games really pretty and everything, the shooting sytem could use a little tweaking but what do you expect from a rockstar game. I f'd up big time though, i got like 12 counts of murder and stagecoach theft on me right now, got like a 120 bounty on my head and deputies on my ass all the time and im broke and cant afford to pay it off. So im in the midst of searching for a pardon letter. Lost a bunch of money in a poker game so i thought it would be a good idea to kill them and take my money back, turns out you cant get all your money back
Got the lasso last night as was going to bed I'll have to try that tonight. Is there anything special you need to do with them? I shot one in the leg but he just kept hobbling around I beat him down but just got back up then I ended up stomping on him and killed him.
Well the game recommends using the lasso. The only reason I said shoot him in the leg is that it worked in one of the missions with the Sherrif...it might not work in bounties though. Lasso that motherfucker
Yep I confirmed it...you lasso them, hog tie the guy, put him on the back of your horse and ride back into town.

Yeah I agree, that's my potential summer plan as well, the one game i'm truly looking forward to this year (and it better come out) Fallout: New Vegas! That will win GOTY book it
I was wondering this- what happens when you surrender to your bounty? Is it similar to going to jail in GTA? Because I have a ridiculous bounty and cash is low and I want to get rid of it.
