The worst rumor yet Apparently ESPN insider has an article that mentions the possibility of us trading TJ to Seattle for Deion Branch. hmy: Holy shit-balls that would suck!
One thing I don't understand with these complaints about duplicate/multiple threads is how hard is it to bypass the thread? It takes you more effort to post the complaint in the thread than to simply click on another thread and ignore it altogether. It's not like every thread on the first page is about the same topic. When I first read the title, I was thinking "isn't this old news", but I didn't complain and could have just ignored it. But I decided to read in case there was something new that I didn't know about.
Really? Because he was the leading rusher making a back up salary. and ftr, It's the JETS that do this to players not the other way around. They refuse to pay their best players and I've pointed that out year after year. Forget Kendall already? am I saying put the farm on a 31 yr old RB? NO but pay the guy his due and create a incentive based structure ...
It's not exactly said as a possibility. It's just Lombardi running his mouth about what he thinks would be a good trade. There's no factual basis for it happening whatsoever.
If we can afford to restructure his contract, as RoyalTee said and make this years contract incentive based, make him earn his money and come to an agreement. Whatever they do though, they better not extend him. It would be preposterous to extend a 31 year old RB, especially when we just traded up to draft his replacement.
How did I answer my own question? I'm not complaining about anything. I choose which threads to read and don't care if there's multiple threads on the same subject or if any threads are old news.
When was he making backup salary? He made a total of 13.1 million over the last two years. This year the contract is structured to only make 900,000 but he was paid very well by the Jets until now.
Right here: That's why people complain, and why most of us only sparingly post in the Jets forum around this time. This gets posted as definitive new news, but it's been discussed for several months now. I usually ignore it as well, but sometimes it gets a bit frustrating.
Try this on for size I don't care how many threads there are, are there a shortage of threads and we have to conserve or something? Hey listen, I just read an article that had info in it I had never heard, I commented on it because I thought others might not know some of the same things I didn't know, so SPAM THIS asshole. I don't need you or any forum Nazi to tell me when what and where I should post anything, I don't care how many posts there are. If I feel there is a legit reason to post I will do so and you are free to shove it and go somewhere else with your opinions. I decide what forums are for not you or anyone else so step off, I am sick of these type people, fuck off.
The NFL is a league not a confrence, TJ didn't lead the league and he was paid handsomely for his work before he hit the field for the Jets. He is not close to the best player on this team he is a role player who's role is going to diminsh. This is his play for a last payday he probably is going to play hardball because he was so grossly over paid up front he has little to lose. The Jets should work with him but not cave into him if it makes sense. If we can trade him for a decent proven WR or package him for a quality WR even better. What the Jets did for Jones is traded for him renegiotated his contract gave him a big up front bonus and asked him to perform for three years to recoup it. Jones decided to take the money and run.
I didn't say NFL did I? I said he was the leading rusher. Which can be open to what he was, the Leading rusher on the team. and Yes, he was also the Leading rusher in the AFC. and It seems we both agree not to give up the farm . I am a TJ fan and was when he played in Chicago so I may be a little biased but I'd have no problem getting a Quality WR in a trade.
You may want to move this to the TT forum. I have no problem with you talking like this, but you should probably do it in the right spot.
But there are at least two other threads oin the same thing. Why is your ost about the same topic more worth of its own thread over the few pages worth in the exisiting threads. You are just doing the same thing over again.
I understand what you are saying, but I still think it would be easier to not read and post in the thread to begin with. The complainer then looks like the Thread Police. I mean there are Mods here and if they think it should be merged, then they will do so. Thus other people shouldn't complain about it. Like I said in the quote above, I chose to read the thread even though it looked like old news, but I'm not going to complain about it. I could have just as easily ignored it, so why complain about it? I'm not saying you, but I think some people just enjoy complaining about anything.
I agree. Somepeople drop by and add nothing but complaints about people complaining. Those guys are just jerks!
I also choose to read new threads for the same reason you do, just incase Im missing out on something. When the news is the same, its frustrating cuz it wastes time. And the reason why I or some other users complain is that they just wasted a good 20-30 minutes of their time and hope that it doesn't happen in the future from that same user. Apparently the mods agreed with me Im guessing and that's why the person got banned. As far as adding something useful to the topic, I already did that in one of the earlier edition of "TJ and his Holdout" threads. I don't create threads with info already being discussed in other threads. I consider is spamming and I hope others can be mindful of that too. If this person didn't create this thread, it would have saved you, me and a lot of others a lot of time posting or reading this msg along with others.
Ghostridergo posted a new thread called "Sportsline article on Trading TJ to Seattle." I don't consider it spamming. It has useful or new info on TJs situation that was most likely not discussed anywhere else, although I saw the same article copy pasted in this thread.
