Realistic FA Targets for Jets

I see a lot of people pounding the table for Thuney while it seems I am the only one that wants Scherff.

Am I missing something?

 

Scherff is still a very good guard but he has been dealing with the injury bug the last couple of seasons while Thuney has never missed a game.

 

You see an injury bug I see a discount.

I couldn't possibly disagree more. You have to take the QB when you have the opportunity and don't have to trade a bunch of draft capital to get him. Anything else is just flat our ignorant of any kind of understanding of how to build a football team, which positions are most important and which are the hardest to get. It also ignores draft history, how hard it is to get the right QB, and how awful Sam has played for the last 3 years.

 

Scherff will still command top dollar. I personally would pay a couple million for a little better production and someone that has been healthy. I certainly wouldn't be upset with Scherff though.

 

JuJu will play the slot. What are you going to do with Crowder?

 

He doesn't have to play in the slot though.

juju can play on the outside and prob is better off back there like a few years ago

Crowder is not going anywhere and JD is not signing the big-mouthed Ju-Ju.

 

He also played with Hackenberg in college. Guy should be in the hall of fame.

 

Come on, that's just a silly statement.

 

I would think our two biggest targets will be
Scherff and Thuney. Still think Scherff resigns as he is an all pro on a playoff team.

i would like to get Bud Dupree cheap and bring him on mid season (torn acl)

WR target would be Corey Davis or Golloday.

 

Sign Dupree, sign Aldon Smith, draft an edge in the 2nd or 3rd round.

 

No to ex steelers, they look good in Pittsburgh. Somehow Tomlin keeps their sxit together (except for Bell) then they leave Pitts . They all seem to turn to fools gold, especially wideouts

 

I see us grabbing Thuney. I'm hoping for Robinson or Godwin, and I see us getting Sherman on a short term deal.

 

I don't trust Corey Davis. I know he's turned it around the last season and a half but don't want to take a chance he'll start from scratch somewhere new.

Kenny G would be a dream come true.

 

Alot of people are forgetting we finally get CJ Mosley back...former multi pro bowler and QB of the defense.That is gonna be huge for our defense.He had a great game against Buffalo before getting injured then opting out.Im looking foward to seeing how he plays with a year of rest.
