The way we have been playing if I was to predict the rest of the season it would be like this: San Francisco-L vs. Houston-L vs. Indianapolis-W @New England-L vs. Miami-L BYE WEEK @Seattle-L @St. Louis-W vs. New England-L vs. Arizona-W @Jacksonville-W @Tennessee-W vs. San Diego-L @Buffalo - L By this we would at 7-9. But, the Miami game could be a win if Keller and Hill are back for it and if they come up big. The Colts game could end ugly also if luck has a good game.
Revis being out is a big issue on defense, but the even bigger one is stopping the run. Our run defense couldn't stop a nosebleed. San Fran - L (Gore is gonna run all over us) Houston - L (Foster will probably run for 200 yds, Johnson will burn Cro a few times) Indy - W (pretty even game, but us at home I like our odds.) NE - L (they beat us before with Revis, they'll do it again.) Miami - W (will be a similar game as yesterdays) BYE Seattle - W (they have a solid D, but not enough weapons to score on us. Unless Lynch busts out.) STL - W (if we lose this game, I have no words.) NE - W (this game is at home and on Thanksgiving. our team will be fired up.) Zona - L (the way they are looking right now, they'll destroy us. Gonna be a low scoring affair.) Jax - W (see STL) Tenn - W (we should win this game. CJ hasn't been doing much.) SD - L (this game is 50/50) Buff - L (The way they ran on us in week one will happen again, if we don't fix things.) Record: 9-7
My original prediction for the division was Jets in first, Pats in 3rd. Now I'm thinking maybe Pats in dead last. I just hope we can outlast the Bills. I still think it'll be a close battle between the 2. San Francisco - W - This match up favors us, IMO. They don't really have a powerhouse offense, we should be able to contain them, but we're going to have use our multi player ultra tackles (forgot the phrase they used in the game but I liked it). We started to use it on Bush before he got hurt, then we continued on Thomas with some success. We improved as the game went on, and need to carry that improvement over to the next game. Hopefully Thomas will be back. That will be crucial. vs. Houston - L - Unless this game features the emergence of Kyle Wilson into an elite corner back I don't see us stopping them at all. Strong passing game plus strong rush attack plus 2 guys on my fantasy team = doom & gloom. The darksiders come back out of the woodworks after this one. vs. Indianapolis - W - I think we'll squeeze this one out, Dolphins game style. Darksiders linger. @New England - L - We lose badly and darksiders spread word of the Jets apocalypse. vs. Miami- W - Another close one. @Seattle- W - we owe them big time. Decent matchup @St. Louis-W - Schotty rematch should be fun vs. New England- W - We'll split with em, and hopefully be in good form by the time we hit this game vs. Arizona - L -10-9 final score @Jacksonville- W @Tennessee- L - the unexpected one. It'll happen. vs. San Diego-W - we always have their number. At least in recent times. @Buffalo - W - Demise Buffalo in style and win the division in this exact game. Jets 11-5 Bills 10-6 Dolphins 9-7 Patriots 9-7
hahahah the dumbesst thing in teh world is to predict a schedule before one game is played. And one of the biggest reason of course, is injuries. So now you're all gonna do it again cuz Revis is out. HOw oftern do you figure you wanna go through this retarded exercise? "Re-evauate Jet schedule now that Bryan Thomas is back".
There's no way this happens. We're gonna drop both to New England just like last year, we're not going into Seattle and winning like most teams, Tennessee is a classic trap game, San Diego we lose, Buffalo is a push game unsure right now, San Francisco no way we win and Indy is a push as well
My goodness. There is no team that looks like world beaters besides MAYBE the Texans and Falcons. Everyone else is playing tough, close games. So are we. The season is not over and who ever thinks it is probably hasn't been watching the game for very long. We have weaknesses but can improve as the year goes on.
Honestly, I'm not a big fan of predicting entire seasons ahead of time, and after 3 games, it's really all up in the air... but that's my honest opinion. If ya don't like it, you don't like it. Guess what. I don't like YOUR prediction so choke on that. hmy: Pats look volunerable, splitting with them isn't that unrealistic, despite the fact that you already wrote us off and feel we won't ever beat any good teams this year. Why do we automatically lose to San Diego? We beat them last year with a slightly weaker team, IMO. They aren't all that much different aside from maybe slight improvements on D, but no VJax means Revis isn't as critical in that one. I guess you know the future already and I'm wrong lol. Save this post for the end of the season if you really care that much. I just hate when people talk in absolutes that have no bearing on reality. "The Jets will NEVER do that". Sanchez will NEVER be great. Greene will NEVER be good enough. Wilson will NEVER be a good CB." That's all I hear and to me it all sounds like, "blah blah blah, waaaaaaaaaaaaaa. blah blah blah waaaaaaaa!"
The pats do look like garbage. Maybe we can take them and rub it in. That would make my season. That would only change my feelings to 6 or 7 wins. But it'll be two great days.
San Francisco- W vs. Houston- L vs. Indianapolis- W @New England- W vs. Miami- W BYE WEEK @Seattle- L @St. Louis- W vs. New England- W vs. Arizona- W @Jacksonville- W @Tennessee- L vs. San Diego- W @Buffalo- W 12-4, 6-0 in the division.
If we play the same defense oriented, offense plays not to lose scheme we will be in big trouble. If we open up the offense we have a chance to be pretty good even if Sanchez turns the ball over as long as those turnovers are on downfield throws. Just can't play the same shitty offense we have for the last year and a half.
Miami always plays us hard. I'm not scared after the results from one game. Rex will find a way to make this defense viable without Revis. I believe.
San Francisco- L vs. Houston- L vs. Indianapolis- L @New England- L vs. Miami- L BYE WEEK @Seattle- L @St. Louis- L vs. New England- L vs. Arizona- L @Jacksonville- L @Tennessee- L vs. San Diego- L @Buffalo- L This is the only way anything positive will come out of this season and we make the changes necessary that need to be made to move in a positive direction for the future.Clean House Boys!
the funny and scary part about this is that the jets may actually be 4-4 going into the bye week... now that would personify the glass half full/glass half empty debate. i am on record for calling for a 5-11 record this year but even with the current sunday clusterfuk the schedule seems favorable enough to squeeze out 6, maybe 7 wins from what i have seen so far. and 7 wins, folks, may be enough to convince the geniuses in florham park that they are still on the right track. ugh!
Yeah, this. The Jets have already won two games. If you think they're really mediocre at this point and will only go 5-7 the rest of the way, well that gets them to 7-9. If they're really bad the rest of the way and go 3-9? Well that's going to cause some real issues in terms of assumptions for next season. You can't sell over-priced tickets for a bad team in a down economy. There aren't that many suckers around.
