I wouldn't over spend for him or give him a long contract. I would be alright with him coming in a year or two while grooming a new tailback.
Lifelong Ram fan. SJackson is owed a good deal of gratitude from us for carrying a huge load during some very lean years. That being said, he has very rarely played for his body type. He should be a beast verticle earth mover but instead he always seems to hesitate and/or dance behind the line of scrimmage before hitting the line, often running into his own blockers. He also goes down sometimes when he's barely touched, has a propensity to be tripped and dood couldn't find a hole in a sorority house, especially in the red zone. He will occasionally pull off the big run as he did late Thursday when we really needed it but those have been rare. He loves to talk big and has even said he's a HOFer but if you pick him up (please) you'll have to change "Greene for three yards" to "SJax for 2.5". A couple weeks ago the difference between SJ and Marshawn Lynch (less than 3 years younger) was striking. Lynch has a heart SJ can only dream of. One thing, Fisher has really been pushing him so maybe he'll wake up yet.
