yeah for the ten mill a year we would be paying lewis, Woody could hire a stripper for every guy in the stands every year on Fan Appreciation day... Thats of course only if you were looking for a real dance anyways.
im gonna say im on board for bringin in ray ray. i know hes old and i know that means its a short term thing, but he does bring something huge to the table: leadership. the friggin guy gets people amped up. i dont think there is any other player in the league that gets people fired up like ray lewis does. he makes everyone around him better. on top of that, he knows the ryan ways, so he can be a great mentor to other players. this signing (if it happens) is not going to be about the on field player as much as the man himself and what he can bring to the franchise as a whole.
I'm for bringing him in for the leadership angle. His 100+ tackles won't hurt either. The leadership is a big part of it, though. I can't tell you how depressing it was to watch the Jets come out of the tunnel at a few of the games I went to last year. When they came out once, they weren't jogging or anything.. they walked out like they were the away team. That's not how you get riled up and get the fans going. With Ray, the defense will be fired up from the get go. I think they'll overpay, but I think he will give them the type of leadership they haven't had in years.

News from NFL Network is that the Ravens are going to let Ray Lewis test the market in hopes that he doesn't get the money he's looking for. He'll have no choice but to come back and play for the Ravens again. This isn't good because I'm afraid the Jets will throw money his way. Also mentioned is that the Ravens and Bart Scott are really close to a deal. I'm actually really really scared.

It isnt good news for us. But, all we can hope is that Rex ryan thinks with his head, and not his heart. The guy has been working with Lewis for years. Hopefully he realizes he cant play forever, and also noticed the decline that has started in lewis the last few years. On a more light note, it makes sense to leak that you want lewis, it drives up the price the Ravens would have to pay, thus forcing them to pay up for Lewis so Scott walks free. Honestly, we are basically scotts only destination. my honest hope is bart scott hasnt signed anything, by 11:59:59, so that by 12:00:01, we are on the phone with scott's agent and we offer over what baltimore is offering. The thing that is out of our control, is we still have 3 hours and 15 minutes of praying to do.
