we definitely have talent on defense, just never had a good defensive coordinator...we have ellis, pace, revis, jenkins, rhodes, harris...and i got a good feeling about gholston this year. we probably have leonhard and scott coming in, which leaves 2 weak spots at de (coleman) and cb (lowery...who has room for improvement). we may even go for mcfadden (cb from pitt)
I think Jets1116 completely missed the point of this thread. There is no room for honest, thoughtful discussion of the Jets in the Jets forum.
3 million a year, plus incentives which COULD escalate him to the pay scale he would be looking for. but only the one year is guaranteed, and after each year we basically have a free out when he drops off. Like if he wins Defensive player of the year, he can have 10 million for that year. Since Ray Lewis would never ever agree to such a deal. He is way the hell off my radar.
