    DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS

However there is only way that my screen name and user name can ever single handedly lead an entire unit of young men into the playoffs and throughout the postseason while getting us past 1998/2009/2010 and into 1968-1969.

1.0) It can only happen once your defense features not only just a generational player (who changes the way his position is played) such as Deion Sanders, #24 Darrelle Revis, Troy Polamalu and Ray Lewis but must also feature that one verbal and absolute fearless leader (amongst men) and who is the heart and soul of his locker room and defense on the field.

    We've got exactly that.

Jamal Adams is a generational player and there has never been any NFL Safety (Free or Strong) who has ever attacked QB's along with made tackles for losses against RB's quite like Jamal Adams; who lives behind the line of scrimmage more than most big name NFL Linebackers.

We've got ourselves a Defensive leader and we found him from within the SEC and has gone from Louisiana to New York.

Just go and watch the first couple of 30 seconds as Jamal (only a rookie @ the time) leads his new jack city defense onto the first (pure emotional heart).

He's special (first 30 seconds below).

What Adam Gase, Gregg Williams, Sam Darnold and Jamal Adams did last year (after a 1-7 start) was something special.

It's what Ray Lewis preaches and raves about.

It's why Herm Edwards was so stone cold serious about playing to win regardless of record.

    Our 2019 Jets were professionals.

    We didn't quit.

    It wasn't even an option.

They made both of Ray Lewis and Herm Edwards proud.

I knew it was special at the time too.

Therefore I had to dig a little deeper in order to find the right men to paint an image of the words that I spoke of during our 6-2 finish (as did many of others).

And from the very moment that Jamal Adams physically abused a very strong Saquan Barkley as if #33 were Lawrence Taylor (on that play) before welcoming Daniel Jones into the NFL & NYC our entire season changed.

    The momentum builder...

We immediately went 6-2 there afterwards,

And we witnessed our youngest starting QB of All-Time as only a 2nd year kid behind a Maccagnan built offensive line with a lack of WR threats and go out there and go 163/267 (61.0%), 1,947 Passing Yards, 15 Offensive TDs only 4 INTs and a beautiful QB Rating of 93.3 (6-2 overall).

(despite being the 2nd most injured football team of All-Time within the modern era).

Our 6-2 2nd half finish - is not to be questioned.

And it's not to be overlooked - due to a strength of schedule - once going up against NFL Football teams - as even playoff Buffalo only won a whopping 1 game against above .500 2019 opponents last year.

    As 6-2 is 6-2.
You are what your record says you are.
And you're only as good as your last games (6-2).

If you don't believe me just watch and listen to Ray Lewis.

And pay attention to how Joe is becoming emotional and wants to just cry as his leader speaks to him and his locker room full of Ray Lewis led DOGS.

Pay attention to how and once he compliments his Safety(s) for allowing him an opportunity to play aggressive as an MLB (for those of you who do not value Jamal Adams or the Safety position(s).

Our 1997 Jets team before making the 1998 AFC Championship Game had a magical comeback season under Bill Parcells of 1997 (9-7).

During only his first season as Jets head coach; after a 1-15 1996 nightmare the season before.

1997's Jets team built momentum, confidence, pride, character and a winning mentality heading into 1998.
2019's Jets team built momentum, confidence, pride, character and a winning mentality heading into 2020.

    We now have

A.) The best Franchise Caliber QB within the division (Allen/Hoyer/Rookie scares no one).
B.) The most talented defense within the division (being led by Gregg Williams, C.J Mosley and #33).
C.) The most talented offense within the division (especially over NE''s).
D.) Behind a Joe Douglas re-built offensive line.

They lied to us during the offseason (heading into the draft) telling us that we could not build around Sam Darnold and Jamal Adams (despite $200,000,000 in order to do so).

    prospect: DWC

positives: has a motor that few if any in the league can match.

negatives: rumors persist he may not enjoy full locker room support.

A 6-2 finish was special, until you look at who they beat and didn't beat. No, I'm not referring to the Ravens there.

    They don't have to.

    Everything else was extra.

Just watch the Ray Lewis video.

You can just throw the strength of schedule out the windows because we're the JETS (free wins on everyone's schedule) and were the second most injured team of all time last year.

You talk about our schedule but don't talk about Darnold going 163/267 (61.0%), 1,947 Passing Yards, 15 Offensive TDs only 4 INTs and a beautiful QB Rating of 93.3 (6-2 overall) behind the worst O-Line, WRs and run game within the entire NFL?

    Funny how that works.

How many above .500 teams did Buffalo beat last year? Lol @ you.

And where is Brady and GRONK?!?

Two brand new offensive and defensive systems too and INJURED.

    "Schedule" lol.

How many Defenses and QBs wree younger than Gregg Williams D and Gases Sam Darnold?

How many loses when at full strength?

Because we had a winning record with Darnold and up 16 points heading into the 4th over Buffalo WITH Mosley.

You see. I can cherry pick our schedule too.

DWC's is every mods nightmare. He doesn't break rules but he bores people with his long posts. But on the other hand long posts are a product of hard labor and shouldn't be punished.

For God's sake DWC, take a break dude. Like leave us to be for a week or so. Geez.

    @Cman65 @Petrozza

My dear bosses. I am out of my depth here. Case belongs to you! :(

In chapter 33, paragraph 17, sentence 44, DWC makes a good point.

    The 1996 Jets went 1-15.

The same magical 1997 Jets who missed the playoffs week 17 Lions by only 1 game who everyone makes a big deal about?

Only beat 3 teams with above .500 teams the other 6 wins were against absolute crap fest teams. And they also lost to the awful Dolphins (x2), the laughable Bills (x2) and the pitiful 3-13 Colts!!! And only beat the awful Raiders/Bengals by a combines 4 points (or otherwise finished 7-9 lol).

You guys didn't watch 1997, did you?

Or else you wouldn't ever question 2019's Jets, now would you?

Remember 1998 despite a weak schedule and turn around 1997? 1998 never happens without 97s building blocks set in place.

    History repeats itself people.

Heck even the KANSAS CITY CHIEFS just won a Championship for the first time before the Jets of the early 60's.

Amazing what building around a REAL Franchise QB will do for a you as a Franchise huh?

(and JD just built around Darnold 2020 draft lol)

But hey. Why not. Don't listen me.

Go and listen to Ray Lewis while talking about an 1-6 team!

From reading the title, one might assume that Lewis is actually giving a message to the Jets.

Well at least it wasn't a 1000 word essay on how in 3 years we are getting a 1st round pick for Morgan.

Beg to strongly differ. There is a fundamental choice between each and every word typed in bold and a myriad of beautiful things to enjoy doing. For god’s sake just masturbate 6 times a day like you’re 13 again.
