mehta confirms it nice signing of a guy who knows the Rex system and makes the defense better nice to have one of the BEST defenses and see it get better you have to feel sorry for Patriot fans with, arguably the worst "defense' in the NFL and getting no help at all
Lol lets not jump the gun here. As of now we are not the best defense we will see how things click with pace and revis when they come back. And Pats do not have the first defense. Lets not act like a guy WHO WAS CUT MID SEASON is going to come in and be Kris Jenkins for us. He could be servicable but Im not expecting much
Well considering that Rex has been blitzing less it'll be nice to have another guy that can get after the QB from the DE position
Hey Im not saying he can be servicable for us but the fact is he was cut for a reason after he led the Ravens in sacks last year. Obviously something isnt right with him. I can see him playing well against the Bills O line though.
Exactly but I did just read that the Ravens planned on bringing him back in which is a good sign but the fact is he was still the low end on the DE totem pole.
I don't mind the pickup at all. DL was one of the two really thin areas on the team and Pryce will help that. I'm guessing that Devito plays on run downs and Pryce plays on pass downs. When we get Calvin Pace back we'll have real edge pressure on both sides with Pace-Ellis strongside and Taylor-Price weakside.
michaelombardi Ravens would have never released Pyrce if they thought there was ONE chance he would not be back... Ravens cut him, thinking he would come back, but he went to Jets, Ravens I'm sure were assured he would be back before they cut him Something tells me, the Ravens wont be doing a deal anytime in the near future with the firm that represents Pryce--this is serious.
Yep, not to mention he's 35 yrs old (not that its a death sentence or anything). Good, solid help that already knows the system, nothing more.
There must be some serious insecurity in the Jets locker room right now with Pace and Holmes due to come back and the Jets signing anybody they think can help the team for this year. The last ten guys on the roster must be wondering if their world is going to explode at any minute. And yeah I think Clowney is #1 on that list.
If the Ravens thought Pryce was a lock to go back to them they were nuts. Unless there's an injury we don't know about they just sat him for 3 games in a row while they were trying out younger guys. That's not how you treat a veteran player who still has some play left in him. The release so they could make other roster moves was kind of the icing on the cake. What did they expect? That he'd happily go back to sit on the bench again as an insurance policy? If he got a real offer from the Jets he was gone the moment they cut him.
