I doubt it....Ratliff has proved nothing, but either has clemens, i guess tanny was just trying to save face.
The same can be for Sanchez and then some based on his experience level which is even less than that of Ratliff.
Altoona, It was merely being pionted out to you that it was not only up to Mangini that it was Ratliff and not Clemens that was part of the deal.
As Mangini is only the HC and not GM, it goes without saying that he does not have the final say on any deals. Seeing, however, that the draft day deal was made with the team he was previously the head coach (and thus had the most comprehensive relevant understanding and evaluation of Jets player personnel, whose opinion do you think carried the most weight with the Cleveland FO when it came to selecting and/or approving the Jets players contained in the trade package? Mangini was also the first person to call Ratliff to first notify him of the transaction. Does that not smack of authorship to you?
Biggest difference, Sanchez will start this year, Ratliff will be lucky to make a start in his lifetime
