He had to see the game out of Geno that let him know it was all over here and he saw it last night. Only way he was getting back on the field was if Geno got hurt. And then he'd be risking everything playing with a shoulder that needed surgery but was rehabbed instead.
I was thinking the same thing - Mark seeing Geno succeed vs the Falcs figuring he won't be able to unseat the rook even if he came back later this season healthy.
I hope Mark has a great career when he comes back healthy, he deserves just that. Nice quiet place where he can win football games and improve under the tutelage of a good offensive coach
