Again...the 700 yards will improve this year. He probably would have had close to 1000 in 2004 if it weren't for Chad's injury. We started to run the ball ALOT more after that.

Anything is possible, but I don't think he will be able to beat out McCareins...I do like Cotchery alot and I expect him have an incresed role...

Yes, and I think Mangini will agree with me once training camp is under way.

i think Coles can be a #1 WR -- maybe not one of the best in the league, but he can be one.

many people on here also said Santanna Moss couldn't be a #1 WR for whatever reasons (size, heart, durability, and so on) and he was exactly that on the 'Skins this past year. his stats were great, and he was a big part of their Offense.

until McCareins is totally healthy and has a good QB throwing him the ball, i refuse to listen to anyone's assessments of him. he's good. can he a be a lot better? sure. do we expect more from him? yes, we do (including myself). this year he may bounce back and prove to be valuable.

    cheers

Coles has proven that he can be a #1 WR...We really just need a QB to throw to these talented WR's...

    #1. Coles
    #2 J-Mac
    #3 Dwight
    #4 Cotchery

I bet that will be the way they are ordered on the depth chart this season too.

because i personally think taht he weill develope into a very good reciever, and McCareins hasnt done anything really to deserve the #2 spot. Also, i think McCareins could be solid in the slot

Please stop the nonsense, he dropped everything at one point he was our GO TO guy ! He was injured last season give him a break.

And people please stop saying coles is a posseion reciever, hes also a gamebreaker hes hands down one of the fastest people in the nfl and he has great hands so lay off. If you didnt hear about his claf injury your not really a Jet fan.

Wide reciever is something we definetely dont have to worry about.

    1. Coles
    2. McCareins (hes a good slot reciever but not used for the long fades and streak rountes)
    3. Cotchery
    4. Dwigt is not a very good reciever but a good punt returner

Coles has turned into a possession WR that's what he is. McCariens is a 3/4 guy. We are week at both WR and TE, we simply don't have consistent playmakers. Cotch should get a long look at the No. 2 spot next year, McCariens and Coles just don't really threaten any one. Coles would be much better with a consistent No. 2 to take some pressure off of him. He would be much better as the No. 2 with a real top flight WR on the other side.

There are too many other issues for this to be adequately addressed this year.
