Disagree with the Colts comparison. First off there was nothing "natural" about the was the Colts landed Luck. Second and more importantly, the Colts' roster was God awful and for the most part it still is. The Rams, however, have talented roster and are adding a QB to said roster.

I totally disagree that they fucked their next 10 years. I think Wentz is a MUCH better prospect than Goff. Goff may be more ready to start, and being a CA guy, may be the better pick from that perspective, but I think Wentz is the superior player and has a higher upside.

I think you're screwing yourself no matter what when you trade this many assets for one player. 10 years is hyperbole.

This I agree with, but if Wentz or Goff could turn into a Brady or Rodgers, the cost will be worth it. He'd (which ever one) have to, however, for the deal to be even remotely worth it.

Boy, if the Titans can't turn this windfall along with Mariota into a SB victory or two, then it will be devastating to that franchise and fan base. If their GM is even an average or maybe above average evaluator of talent, the Titans ought to dramatically improve their team, and if their HC is average and their OC above average, this team ought to be a contender for the next 5-8 years.

Do you really think that it would help that much? Yes, it would be a nice story and all that, and would certainly help, but Rams fans should be so ecstatic that their team is coming back home that it wouldn't matter who they pick.

I love how the so called "insiders" knew nothing about this trade.

What if it's not the QB? What if it's the LT they want to select? Just a thought.

Interesting fact, the Redskins have been in the playoffs twice since "mortgaging their future" to acquire RGIII while the team who hauled in that king's ransom, the Rams, have yet to break 500 in a season since.

I don't believe in that value chart. Busts happen too often, especially at QB. It's tough enough rolling the dice on a 1st round QB...let alone one you just traded away practically 2 drafts for. If the Rams pick a bust, it'll set that franchise back years

Titans will never win with Mike Mularkey as HC.

How many Rams fans still live in LA? They moved out 22 years ago after a year when everybody knew they were moving. LA is notoriously unfavorable for a losing team. I think they have to make it all about marketing or they're going to be embarrassed after a 1-3 start when empty seats start showing up on the TV screen.

You could be right. I couldn't remember who their HC was. He's a former OC, correct? That's about all I know about him. Unless he's the second coming of Rich Kotite or Rex, however, their GM may be able to assemble so much talent that even he can't screw it up.

You could be right. Still, even though there may not be that many Rams fans now, usually people get excited and quickly become fans. Of course, the team then needs to win to keep those fans. Look at expansion franchises. They quickly gain fan bases just by geography. It happened here in the Carolinas very quickly. Most people who lived here used to be Redskins or Falcons fans. Now, one hardly ever hears/sees anyone here who is a fan of either team. Most people have become rabid Panthers fans.

Would be crazy if Rams elect to sit Goff or Wentz next year to learn while Keenum leads team to 3-13 and another top 3 pick which will then head to the Titans. Big gamble that won't be able to be judged for many years down the road.

    Rumors are LA wants Goff

Wow, Wentz and Goff may be QBs that make Tim Couch look like a HOF'er

Like many I think the Rams got robbed. I understand their thinking in that they are in a new city (well, sort of) and want to set a new identity and what better way to do that than with a franchise QB? The issue is that neither or the top two options strike me as franchise guys...I'm no scout so they have obviously seen enough to think he is but, yeah, I find that odd.

Remember that SD is less than an hour down the freeway from LA. The really rabid fans who buy season tickets because they love football just bought Chargers tickets instead. Everybody else is going to get sticker shock from the price of an NFL season ticket these days. The Rams will get corporate clients to buy the luxury boxes and they'll do ok in the cheaper sections but they're going to have a major sales job to sell the upmarket tickets in the middle. Just an opinion.
