I think you need to rewatch the tape. Both Raiders Dt(G warren) did a very good job controling Jets Oline. Both were not the reason Jets ran so effective. That falls more on the LBs over running the play, and missing some tackles. How many tackles did Kris Jenkins have. But he let the guys behind him have a big game.
Football isn't some beauty pageant Listen when you have a very young offense(trying to break in a inexperienced QB) your not going to look great. Its all about doing just enough to get a victory. Raiders just have to wait till that young offense starts to get comfortable in the progame. Sooner or later(might have to wait till 2009) that offense is going to be something special. I hope Raiders look lioke crap again agai9nst ravens. Just as long as we come home with a victory.
The Raiders were the first team this season that Thomas Jones ran successfully up the middle on. I believe that is defensive tackle territory. Jenkins is a phenomenon, if you know anything about football and run defense you know what kind of havoc he wreaks on the inside. Also, please re-watch the Jets game and tell me how many times the Raiders ran successfully up the middle while Jenkins was on the field. I think even you can count that high.
Well I would advise you to rewatch the tape. Key in on # 93 of the Raiders, manhandling your Olineman. IT didn't matter if it was probowler Alan Faneca or Nick Mangold. He dominated both. Again rewatch the tape, it dosen't lie.
Yeah, re-watch one of the least powerful, least aggressive runningbacks in the AFC with quickness issues and a lack of evasion moves running on the Raiders to the tune of 150 yards.

Well Raiders knew the run couldn't hurt them(Jets don't have NFl caliber RB), so they keyed on stopping the Jets passing game. How did that game plan work out. Pretty well, Raiders casme away with a victory. Just one game in loss column from sharing first place in Afc West.
Well I like Tom Cable this week.(not so much after he called that timeout) Not to mention he outcoached Mangenius this week. Time will tell if Cable is the answer, or If Raiders should go Direct TV/Fios.
I don't find Kelly to be a top 10 tackle. You said he is one of the best ones in the game. That makes me think you consider him top 10 material.

Rewatch the tape. When you rewatch the tape you will see why I say Kelly is one best DT in the game. Yes top ten DT material. Rob Ryan has always said he best Undertackle in the game today. W Sapp said Kelly best Position was his undertackle position and you wouldn't find out how good Kelly was , until he retired. The scary part when your watching the tape, Is TOm kelly still not in top shape yet(getting close) Took a longtime for him coming off last year acl tear. Tom Kelly a hugh hugh hugh hugh upgrade to W Sapp. G Warren has been playing consistantly well. Both Warren and Kelly have done a great job for the raiders at DT. They are not the reason Raiders struggled against the run this past week.
Okay that was a shot. Still how impressive is it to be a 1000 runner in a sixteen game season. You have to average sixty something yards per game. You get 20 carrys that comes to three Yards per carry per average. No defense fears thomas Jones. He touches the football, you don't have to worry about him taking it to the house anytime. Next season Jets are going to have to invest in a RB in the draft.
I can buy that the jets dont have an ELITE rb..and no..no one fears Thomas Jones..but he is def. at least average.
