The first sentence was what Raiderjeaux said. Than Phyr responded with the next statement. Do you understand, NY Vilmaniac? RaiderJeaux said to SundayJack: "YOUR not a smart man." Than Phyr corrected him because the correct word would be you're as in you are.
Or theres always the possibility that he gets left in man to man coverage and makes a good play to stop the reception, but no I guess that doesn't make sense.
SI's view of the move http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/writers/jeffri_chadiha/08/30/raiders.george/index.html?cnn=yes
Well, certainly compared to the Green and White! I never imagined that signing an emergency quarterback would get such a reaction!
You almost can't call the guy a QB though. Does he remember what a football looks like? Oh, well. He's not likely to be around for very long, and if he is, then you certainly got bigger problems than George himself.
And ESPN's view of the move... http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2...hitlock/060831 We're all f**ked if we have to use a third string QB. The Raiders had to play Rick Mirer and Rob Johnson in '03. Even at 38, I'd rather have George (if he even makes the team). The fact that he has good chemistry with their leading receiver is a nice added bonus to have in an emergency QB too...
Well after the trade of Brooks Bollinger we have just signed Browning Nagle. Now please excuse me while I make 4 pages of how this is a positive signing and worst case it wont matter....
When people have well thought out posts, I respond with one. I thought that response was on a par with Dinobot's. Yours was funny but you should have said "Vinny" instead of "Nagle". Vinny and Jeff George are "has beens". Nagle is a "never was". More on a par with Marinovich IMHO.
Noooo... I'd say George is a never was as well. At least Vinny managed one year of something with the Jets. George was nothing but problems nearly everwhere he went. EDIT * Ok, after having looked at some stats, he did have at least 3 decent seasons here and there. Can't find anything on when he would have led anyone to the playoffs. I mean, its been so long since he's played it is hard to remember, and didn't they record stats in stone back then?
What was the point in signing J George to be third QB. The point is the roster isn't finalized yet and don't be supprised if J George is still the number three QB for Raiders. Again lets see how it plays out.
