thats fucking insane. How can you possibly do that for Plamer, a guy who hasnt been the same since the knee injury? Campbell is done in Oakland, Palmer has to be the guy after giving up that much. Hell you have to play him in less than 2 weeks, thats for sure. a first, and possibly a second first? Jesus Jay Cutler barely netted that much. Amazing work by the Cincy GM on that deal my god, the raiders are fucking stupid. I'm mildly surprised they didnt trade 3 #1's for brian Hoyer for christs sake
I am just glad that for once its not the patriots on the receiving end of a terrible trade like this.
Yup. Look on the brightside...theres no way Belicheck can get a first from Oakland for the next 2 years.
I still can't figure out how the raiders think this is a good idea? even if it gets you to the postseason this year, somehow, which is highly debateable to say the least, it forms a big time QB controversy between Campbell (the better player in my eyes right now) and Palmer in the future. but Palmer has no idea about this offense, or the receivers, or the team. He sure as hell won't be crisp after not practicing football in like 8 months. It's going to blow up in Oaklands face, and lose at least 1 possibly 2 first round picks in the process. Hilarious
The Colts could have traded Peyton to Oakland for 10 1st rounders. OR we could have shown Oakland clips of Brunell from 10 years ago...turned him into at least a 3rd.
2 first round picks for Palmer???? I thought Al Davis was dead... Too early???? Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk
So the death of Al Davis made Raiders into an even dumber franchise? I didn't think that was possible.
schefter saying its official now Palmer is a raider. Did anybody ask Carson if he'd be willing to play there?
That is insane. Maybe we can send over Kris Jenkins for a couple of picks? Palmer had been washed up for the past few years, hasn't played a down of football since the end of last season, and he is somehow worth 2(!!!) first round picks? I'm going to go against the grain here and say that Al Davis might have been the one keeping this from happening.
This trade is remarkable. The exorbitant salary requires Palmer start, even once Campbell comes back. And the Raiders next draft consists of nothing but a 5th & a 6th rounder. Plus they give a 1st or 2d in the following draft. Probably the worst trade I've seen.
I woke up to seeing this on ESPN and lol'd at the deal. Thought it had to be a typo.....the Raiders are retarded
