Raiders don't need him. They have 53 other people that can take it to the house. Not counting the 8 people that will be on the practice squad that can do that as well. That makes hundreds of expendable people including Derrick Burgess.
With the measureables that he had, Gunheim looks to be an explosive player. 36" vertical, 10+ long jump and 28 reps would put him in a category that alot of coaches would take a good look at.
Don't forget the De that the Raiders are the highest on 2008 6th rounder Trevor scott. Had five sacks last year. Trevor Scott, DE Buffalo - 6'5" 256 lbs. Trevor Scott played TE for three seasons at Buffalo before switching to DE as a Senior. However, in that one season he was able to accumulate 45 tackles, 13.5 TFL's, 9 sacks, 1 PBU, and 1 blocked kick. He was not invited to the combine but had an incredibly strong performance at his pro day running a 4.54 40 yard dash, 32 bench press reps, a 33.5 inch vertical leap, 4.19 short shuttle, 6.84 three cone (very fast), and performing very well in linebacking position drills. Trevor scott from all, reports is bigger and alot stronger from last year. Raiders have Trevor Scott, Greyson gunheim, derrick Grey ( one of the top small college Des that was on their practice squad, J Richardson , Matt Shaughnessy(they drafted this year) and two tweener Struyler Suklak 6'5 250 and Slade Norris. (who will probably play Lb) Thats extremely young group of Des. Raiders Dline better if burgess just the situational pass rusher, but D Burgess won't be a Raider in 2010. He probably still sees himself as a everydown player. So the Raiders might just move him.
