Exactly what I meant by babies having babies. These women had babies probably by mistake at a young age and then found themselves raising a kid alone. The men that impregnated them most likely were too immature to assume the responsibility of being a parent OR were raised in a single parent home themselves. Either way, saving 1 out of 5 may only be 20%, but its a start. Sadly, most of the other 4/5ths most likely will never make it out of the hood or the cycle of poverty that traps them there. This un-ending cycle usually produces a frustrated and hopeless population that lashes out occasionally at what they think or who they think the issue lies with instead of looking in the mirror for both the source and the solution to their predicament.
I actually love this post. I'm a white male 36years old and in my short adult life I have never seen/felt tensions the way they are now. There seems to be a misperception in the black community that they need to fear white cops when in fact the most likely cause of violent death to a young black male is another young black male, BY FAR. Don't get me wrong; cops can be FUCKING ASSHOLES and racist. I've had some horrible experiences myself with very crooked dirty cops. In the grand scheme of things, there is a very big problem in the black community that can only be solved by denouncing the 'gangsta' life style from within. My 15 yo step daughter cheerleads to that disgusting harpy, Nicky Minage (spelling). The shit she sings about would make 2live crew ashamed. Its embraced by everyone as if its okay and I find it absolute repulsive. Not just her but the life style as a whole. Is it racist to point out problems with sincere concern? NO African Americans are a part of American culture and have shaped this country for the better. You don't get any more American than traditional black culture and I love it for that. This new stuff though; is a big problem and normalizes disgusting behavior.
