Wilson sat down when team had four losses. 6 more after that and Wilson only played in 2 of them. All the great Jets team had to do was win 2 out of 4 without the worst QB of all time. Should have been a cake walk.
I'm not understanding how any Jets fan can be upset with Quinnen saying that though. It is a sign of frustration due to his will to win and succeed. We need more players like that. Sauce is similar. Garrett Wilson too. I get being quiet and keeping things in house, but many players just want to win. It is honestly refreshing to see for this franchise.
That's a good point. I suppose it's akin to when Williams got into a shouting match with defensive line coach Aaron Whitecotton during the Jets/Bengals game. From that game forward the Jets relied more on the four man rush instead of blizting. Hopefully, this latest comment will push the Jets to make another positive move and bring in an elite quarterback.
I think this is a nonstory, lots of people say stupid shit on twitter or use it to blow off steam. QW is a beast, still love him after this shit. Also, sometimes you gotta have somebody in the room to speak out. It may have been inappropriate to put that on twitter but he's still gonna eat qbs next year
I agree to a point, & could care less about twitter, etc. But to me, the concern is team unity. When factions develop, & players call-out others publicly, the whole team focus becomes scattered. When I look at how the season played out, it's no surprise to me that things started falling apart, when all the internal noise got louder. We heard about the MW T-shirts, but there were probably other players that were put off by it. The same for all the other nonsense. While some fans think Q's tweet was nothing, ya think players on offense thought it was nothing? That's my concern. .
Yeah, I don't see a problem here. He's showing frustration about doing everything he can for the team while the offense couldn't find the end zone over the last 3 weeks. Players who hate losing should be embraced by the fanbase. Oh, and he had pretty good season too.
I get the concern and if this were during the season i may even think its warranted, but a quickly deleted tweet from a star player during the postseason which me missed, I'd let it slide.
If his concern was the team, he should've kept it inside the team. It wasn't though, it was about him bitching about how the offense let the defense down. Yeah, they sure did. But it's not like the defense was without major mistakes. "People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones". Funny how so many whose heads exploded because a 22 year old QB got sandbagged by a reporter looking to make headlines, crucified the QB for not being humble and mature enough to answer a bad question "correctly", but Quinnen can actually shit on the offense publicly and it's okay.
I mean they have basically been wearing we hate Zach Wilson on their forehead. Saleh should have been nip things in the bud. I mean nothing happened(at least that we know of) from them wearing those t-shirts.
I'm okay with It. I'm glad someone of importance on this team called this team out In a way that shows urgency. He just said what's true. As a professional. Okay, I get It, maybe not the move. As a fan though. Good. This offense, when remotely competent, lead us to a 7-4 record. When the defense and coaching staff couldn't get jack dick out of this offense, everything collapsed on itself. It was unacceptable. Hopefully, this motivates those up top to make sure this Is corrected. If It wasn't an issue there wouldn't be nothing to say there, right? You want to fix It, you don't pretend like he's wrong and slam him. You fix the problem, nobody would have anything to say If there wasn't an actual issue there.
At what age do we stop coddling an adult hired to perform an adult's job while he is lousy at doing it?
20-something has hissy fit on twitter/tiktok/facebook/myspace. Others offended by 20-something hissy fit...
Was he wrong? D gave up 18.6 pts per game, which was 4th best in the league, and the O could not put up enough points to win more than 7
The t-shirts sparked a 6 game losing streak to close out the season. Coincidence? ...... I think not!
Players are not robots. They have opinions like everyone else. He shouldn’t have felt he needed to delete it
He is speaking his mind. It's better that way in the long run. It also speak volume on how the QB situation of the Jets affected the whole team morale. It's even more obvious now that the Jets need a veteran QB to put back the pieces together.
