I have more faith in hitting on some players with all those chances versus standing pat with those two players.
Look we had a chance with these vintage of players and were building towards something under Saleh. Had a very high end defense and the makings of a playoff team at least. All that was derailed by horribly whiffing on Z(ero) Wilson. He ruined that rebuild single handedly. We tried to save it with Aaron and somehow made it worse. Z Wilson boned that rebuild. Basically need to start over again.
Jets are going to have to hit on those picks from the Gardner and William trade or it is going to be bad trades

You think the Jets are bad now. The rest of this year and next will be even worse. 2 of the firsts are not until 2027, which we will probably screw up anyway. I am going to bet $20 on the money line against the Jets for every game the rest of the season.
*shrug* next year was going to be terrible regardless - this just guarantees we will have the ammo to go for the top QB prospect in either 26 or 27 (just have to pray they finally get someone that can develop a QB)
I’m ok on it, not thrilled but not pissed off either…I liked the first two picks and both have performed…I wasn’t thrilled with the 3rd and 4th round picks with a “slow” corner and a WR with “bad hands”…neither guy has done much, maybe the corner will come on now that I assume he’ll get some playing time…the WR has gotten a lot of snaps and has 6 whole catches, so nothing there. It’s not a terrible draft but also not a great draft that blows anything away. We’ll see…I guess I’d give it like a C+ or maybe B-, and if the corner develops then I’d up that grade I guess
I am praying we see a turnover in coaching staff before our new saviour QB lands with a proven offensive coach coming in
Yes we are 1-7, but we actually had a very precious few good players in GW, Sauce, Q and our two young OTs. That is pretty much it, though I guess I’d throw in Mason Taylor and Breece Hall in there as well. That’s about it Those would be the guys that you build around, not the guys you trade away…now we have all the holes we had before plus a few more. Look, I’m glad we got the draft haul we did, and I’ll feel a lot better about this as we approach the draft, but I have like zero faith that this combo of GM/HC will be any better at the actual “rebuild” phase than the last bunch of GM/HC combos were.
