I kind of understand this move, but there will be much work to be done. The first is in 2027, so not for a while. 2026 is a second rounder. Meh.
He’s irrelevant to the trade though. He’s a toss in. If you get anything out of him and AD it’s a win. If not, no harm no foul you cut them. He’s also only played 89 snaps so it’s sort of irrelevant.
He's played 89 snaps because he's terrible. I know he's a throw in but the notion that maybe he can be something is a dead one.
Now that things have started rolling can we trade our owner? I will give Woody and one of the Colt's first rounders for Jerry Jones.
This team is unreal, we HAVE to get rid of Glenn. Tearing this team apart then handing the rebuild keys to Glenn would be the biggest mistake this franchise has ever made. His latest interview today was cringe worthy, all of them have been. Great player, terrible coach.
He wouldn’t be the first high draft pick to fix his career or at least become a rotational player with a change of scenery. So I’m not sure why everything you post is always so definitive in one direction or another.
The tank is rolling, but we are one of three 1 win teams with Tenn and NO and of course in true Jets fashion, we are currently sitting at pick 3 I don’t see Tenn or NO winning many more games, so to have a real shot at the first overall, we need to lose out and hope they both get a win, because we are not going to win any tiebreakers as we’ll have a strong strength of schedule with the Bills and Pats counting twice in our competition record. Typical Jets
We just traded an elite player and a top tier player for a bunch of picks and we're worried about being 3rd instead of 1st?
The Jets’ asking price for Breece Hall is a third-round pick, per source. Teams have yet to meet New York’s ask with just over an hour to go until the deadline.
I’m just against the whole fire sale mentality…I do not like either of the trades but I guess they make more sense together…if you’re going to tear down, then they are tearing it down to the fucking studs…JD did similar and that got us another 5 years of shit. So great, we are now letting the NEXT guy do the same thing with yet another fucking rookie DC coach. I have zero faith that THIS time we will get it right…I think it’s more likely we continue to suck. I am just so down on this fucking team…Woody is an imbecile, he continually hires the wrong people, and we as fans have to just either be ok with it and hope that THIS time we’ll get it right or else just fucking bail on this trash franchise. As you can see, I’m not really happy today. I think you need some good pieces to rebuild with, and we just got rid of our two best defensive players. And sure I get all the rationale and all the excuses why it makes sense…age, one guy can’t tackle, they won’t be in their prime when we are ready to contend, blah blah blah…but the problem is if you are always trading away good players, you’ll never get to that time when you are actually a good team unless your GM can hit on like 80% of his picks and you turn it around with the right coach and right culture. We have none of that. This is a nice fucking move to buy AG another year and build “his” team…great..whoopdee fucking doo
Im with you. I'm wildly against today's moves. But I dont have it in me to make these moves and ALSO complain about draft position.
