Yes, all laws I disagree with are stupid.

Let’s overthrow the government; it’ll work this time.

Yes, that’s the world we now live in. We can believe whatever we want regardless of the facts.

I thought we did innocent until proven guilty in this country? Was he convicted of gun charges or did I miss something?

I can’t tell if you guys are purposefully being obtuse of if you’re just victims of a sheltered life.

    Tweedle Dee:
Fact: it’s illegal to posses a gun in New York without a New York license.

Fact: Q was caught possessing a gun in New York without aa New York license

    Tweedle Dum:
Fact: Many laws overlap giving the prosecution flexibility to plead people out to lesser charges

Observational Opinion: The legal system treats different people differently.

Opinion: If the New York DA helped end/stymie the career of Q, the massive amount of Jets fans in New York would have lost their shit. I assume the DA decided the shit storm it would have caused wouldn’t have been a good thing.

    What was the end result?

And is he the first guy to accept a plea deal?

The guy transported his weapon in the wrong way to a different state. He's from the deep south where it makes sense that he was relatively oblivious to gun laws being stricter in the north.

This wasn't some sort of thug move of a guy being a gangster with a loaded handgun in a nightclub.

No league intervention, no criminal charges. The NFL has suspended guys for not being charged with a crime (Ezekiel Elliott). So my question is, what is your qualm with the way this played out?

Do you think the New York DA gives a flying fuck what a bunch of Jets fans think about their defensive tackle who gave off a perception or underperforming to the fan base in his rookie year?

I believe words matter. The other poster was specifically saying no laws were broken. I replying specifically to those words.

And it resulted in being a mere violation that you've been consistently playing up as a bigger deal than it is.

    You're nitpicking it really.

NY is the name of both a city and a state. It is illegal to posses a gun in the City of New York without a license.

Congrats on almost being right about something, must be a nice change of pace for you.

    I was replying specifically to:

“He followed the law. Which is why the charges where dropped.”

He didn’t follow the law. I’m not commenting of the justification of the law or the results of the charges. I’ll repeat my earlier comment, “we now live in a world where facts no longer matter”

he legally owned the gun and even stored and transported it legally. the issue was NY doesn't accept the permit he had from Alabama. it wasn't a criminal case. it was a violation. he paid a small fine and forfitted the gun. it's no different then getting a parking ticket. it's part of the travel issue since states have different requirements
