Obviously an unknown commodity but I'm loving the idea of Quinn & Maccagnan, and from what I read we also reached out to Mark Dominik formally the Bucs GM, who's specialty is cap management, at Quinn's request. So while Maccagnan is supposedly raw on cap & contracts we would possibly be adding Dominik to counter that. Listen, nothing is set in stone regarding future success or whether this will all pan out, but you have to give Woody kudos for his approach on assembling the new look of the franchise going forward. All that's left is the hope that the clock is ticking on Bradway and the rest of the scouting department.
So let me get this straight. We've got Quinn, McCagnan, Shanahan, and Dominik all on board. But we've technically hired no one. I wish these reports about the staff we're theoretically assembling would stop until we actually hire someone. Remember when we signed Asomugha? Remember when we hired Doug Marrone to be head coach? Remember when we got Warren Sapp and Dan Marino? Even when things fall in our laps, things don't go as planned here. Crossing my fingers that it's true, but we need to slow down a bit.
By that logic you would keep a defensive coordinator even if the defense wasn't good just because he was a great linebackers coach. Dumb.
The reports are flying left and right. Nothing is for certain, but suffice is to say that where there is smoke there is fire, and all smoke signals seem to indicate that there is movement in the right direction with the Jets.
I like Quinn and Maccagan. I don't like Shanahan however. And he will most likely bring over RG3 in a ridiculous trade.
Could be. But that also worries me they'll draft Winston since he has some mobility (granted, not tons though). I'm not a big Jameis fan.
What the hell is the RG3 sweepstakes? Since when is a bad player who is not a free agent a sweepstake?
Anyone that wants Quinn should be taking advantage of the fact that his choice for GM Mark Dominik has a twitter. Bomb him with tweets to join the jets hahaha
