I didn't either but I saw Josh Gordon dropping balls on potential game winning drives. Can't blame Hoyer for that but they did.

There seemed to be an organizational dispute on playing Johnny vs Hoyer. Kind of like the Jets with Geno vs Vick. Except Hoyer played well and Vick didn't. Not sure how long Pettine will last there. Problems between the FO and coaching staff. What's new.

Just as long as Mehta approves then Quinn will be hired. It's only a matter of time.

I wouldn't let Mehta approve my selection from the dollar menu at McDonald's.

I wouldn't either but Woody seems to value his opinion.

all depends on what happens with snacks really..

its either the formation will be
"LEO"---RICHARDSON----SNACKS-----MO (coples will spell the last 3 spots)
    OR
    "LEO" ---RICHARDSON---MO----COPLES

    Running Downs

    Wilkerson-Harrison-Richardson-Coples

    Passing Downs

    Coples-Wilkerson-Richardson-LEO

Hybrid Fronts can include any of the 5

Quinn is a DL specialist he will mix fronts just as much as Rex

I'm not too sure about Hoyer...always difficult to play the parallel game....certainly plays with fewer mistakes...but accuracy is an issue.

Let me lay the facts down...it would seem that, this year, he has the most reliable set of receivers in the league...err...well....the 2nd most reliable. Cleveland ranked 31st in dropped passes (higher the number is GOOD in this list...Link to the stat). Of 500 attempts the team only had 16 drops or 3.2%. For those wondering...the Jets, ironically weren't all that bad either (sure as hell FELT a lot worse than this) but they fell in at 21st on the list with 19 drops out of 481 attempts for a round 4%. (Just sayin' as a side note....you know who should be really pissed off is Alex Smith with the Chiefs...#1 with 31 drops out of 485 attempts!) So I'm thinking that it wasn't Hoyers receivers that were the problem.

In Cleveland he is 10 - 6 with a 56% completion rate and 17 TD's against 16 INT's. Saddle that up against Geno's 11 - 18 record with a 57.5% completion rate and (here's the kicker) 25 TD's against 34 INT's. Since I've thrown in turnovers let's also get out there Hoyer has 2 fumbles...losing 1 compared to Smith's 16 fumbles an losing 8 of those. I also wanted to include rushing because we need this to be a total comparison....and there really is none. Geno SMOKES Hoyer... Hoyer is 30 rushes for 55 yards whereas Geno has tucked it 131 times for 604 yards. Kind of offsets the fumbles a little considering Geno's probability to fumble goes up by sheer number of attempts. But it's blatantly clear...If Geno cuts down his total turnovers by HALF his record probably flips to 18-11...

Since Glennon's name keeps popping up let me add his identical stats... Tampa falls at #12 on the ole' "dropped passes" list with 24 dropped passes out of 523 attempts for a 4.6% rate. In the 2 years Glennon has been with Tampa he is 5 - 13 as a starter with a combined 58.8% completion rate with 29 TD's against 15 INT's. He has rushed 37 atts for 86 yards with 9 fumbles and 3 lost.

Based on stats alone Glennon is CLEARLY the better player...so why the horrible record? I dug a little further and here are some other interesting notes...as far as Sacks go Hoyer sits at the fewest with 30 then Glennon at 56 followed up by Geno at a whopping 71. But here is where Glennon's win/loss stat becomes clearer.... Tampa's defense has been horrid. No where near the level of what Cleveland or NY have. And with all that the ONLY stat that Hoyer and Smith have on Glennon is the W/L category. Every other meaningful stat swings in favor of Glennon. Just food for thought. I'd much rather bring Glennon in than Hoyer.

Forget Hoyer, I hope Shanahan brings Josh Gordon with him. Browns are fed up with the BS but he's one of the top talents in the league. I heard there's an outside chance they just release him but I'd easily give up a 3rd ..They didn't get too much time together this season with Gordon's suspension but if they want to work with each other again it might be buy low time.

If he's really done smoking weed (for his playing career) and gets to practice on time he could be the second coming of Keyshawn Johnson..I get it's not the best situation to pair a potential headache with a rookie HC but idc if Geno Smith is our QB we're moving the ball next year if we had Gordon/Decker on the outside with Percy Harvin in the slot and running his gadget plays.

may be looking at a larger number the posted 40 Mil,, maybe closer to 50 Mil once certain cuts
are made and the loses we will Aguirre with those who follow Rex. Yeah this is better then the Bills

I could have sworn 4-3 speed rushing DE is exactly who Coples was when we drafted him. It's standing up as an OLB that makes Coples looks lost.

What am I missing that makes him a bad fit?

As far as GM its hard to judge these guys because you don't know what kind of role they had with the team, how much input did they have?None of them have been a GM before. There's so many layers to the front office its hard to tell who did what or deserves credit for success or failures. But the coach is easier to judge because his work is visible to all.To me its ranked like this as far as guys id like us to hire,I've warmed up to the idea of Quinn

    1.Quinn
    2.Bowles
