I’d slap him with the transition tag. Let someone else determine what his worth is , then I’d match it . The WR FA market is very thin this year. We can’t go backwards with our skill positions. HAVE to bring back Quincy& Robbie plus add a real slot guy. I Love Golden Tate. I know he’s now 30 but he’s the kind of underneath receiver we need
Since the Jets took a pass on Amari Cooper (who, by the way is lighting it up for the Cowboys), they can look forward to another #1 draft pick bust. Maybe the Jets will land a #1 WR before Darnold retires.
This comment hit my funny bone because it's not as if Darnold is 35, he's only 21, haha. The scary part is that it could come true. With the Jets, all things are possible. None of it good.
Laments down year, he came off of neck surgery and keeps getting dinged, so not exactly his fault. Hopefully that trend goes to the wayside (getting dinged). I just don't want the Jets to hit the panic button and pay him way stupid money him as much as I like him.
Quincy is a beast and always goes 110%. The price will be fair, too. I hope they can lock him up for a few years at a decent price.
Definitely. I don't want them to cut Anderson after this year, but he doesn't deserve a contract extension at this point. Kearse is garbage
Breaking News!!!!!!! Quincy on his way to sign new deal, sprains ankle has to delay contract. I’m sorry terrible joke....... Love him but he’s a possession 3rd down beast in my view. Glad to sign him but please be smart with $$$
I disagree. He was a UDFA. He's cheap, and he's a threat to score from anywhere on the field at any time. That prevents opposing teams from stacking 8-9 men in the box. That opens things up for the rushing attack and underneath routes for the other receivers. He's a one-trick pony, but does it well. The Jets have enough holes already, without creating more holes just because a player isn't perfect. Once they've fixed the OL added a true #1 WR, a very good play-making RB, solid depth at TE and the OL, and filled out the rest of our WR corps, if they want to replace him, fine. Until then, he needs to stay unless he gets in trouble with the law again.
I don't understand all the angst about Enunwa's contract. It's not our money, and the team has plenty of cap space. He's the best WR we have at the moment, he has a great attitude, works hard, fights for yardage, and delivers.
It makes me laugh that if you google "sign this beast" the top result is a Jets forum and this forum is also on the first page
When I just googled it, it only brought up scriptural references to "the sign of the beast" and a book by Joyce Carol Oates by that title. Very disappointing. I needed the laugh.
