Other than a great 40-time, Chris Henry has really done nothing in his college career. His career average is 3.5 ypc... IMO, there are better options.
Darius Walker, Lorenzo Booker, Kolby Smith, perhaps Brandon Jackson, off the top of my head. I agree, Henry's combine was quite impressive but I just cant look past how poorly he did in college. He was questioned of even being drafted before the combine. I do think the combine will help him secure a spot in this draft, but early 4th round might have still been a bit too high. I was projecting him around 5th - 6th round, late 4th at the earliest.
Lions trade CB Bly to Broncos for RB Bell, OT Foster, pick I bet that Leon Hall pick looks pretty good right now!
If the 9ers do take Nate Clements, then I won't need to draft a Corner in round 4, we should put the draft on halt for a lil bit, just to watch what major players go where.
Clearly... And since they also signed Daniel Graham, the Zach Miller pick now looks even worse, if possible. You're entire draft is falling apart!...
No, the whole point of the draft was for it to not interfere with free agency and the combine, which unfortunately it did, but we are not putting it on hault.
http://forums.theganggreen.com/showthread.php?t=19130 Yep, he's a Bronco surprisingly enough. You'd think he'd want to go to an offense where he would be the feature TE, not another situation EXACTLY like New England's.
Its not a joke at all. You guys are just not looking at it the right way. Since my picks wee made prior to free agency the moves made by the Bornocs shows that their front office viewed CB and TE as serious needs for the team. If CB and TE are needs, my high value picks become even better because I met needs without reaching. Since the draft was also before the combine, Miller's horrible 40 time should be disregarded as well.
-We knew Miller was a 4.8 guy before the combine too. -Just because they acquired Graham doesn't mean anything. Graham is an experienced guy that could block well and that's the only reason they want or need him. Miller is not a very good blocker, and doesn't bring anything to the team that Scheffler doesn't already. -Still remember that Scheffler caught 4 TD passes in the last 4 games in the year last year, and caught 11 passes in those games. They worked him into the offense very slowly because of inexperience, and he's still going to be the premier pass catching TE on the Broncos.
Miller was much more productive than Scheffler last year and he played in fewer games. Most people rated the top TEs 1 and 1a before the combine. Just because you didn't like Miller didn't mean that you knew he would run a 4.8. No one knew that.
