But with a second string QB we need a vet who can come in and already be adjusted to the game as well as the system. We can't expect a rookie to come in and be able to play effectively if somehow Mark went down. I like Moore a lot don't get me wrong, but he deserves to get drafted to a team that he can become something overtime. Like the Redskins or Miami , a team that needs a QB to groom and a kid with a huge heart.
Because he's the same size as Derrick Mason and doesn't have enough redeeming qualities to overcome that. Ask David Greene how much winning collegiality did for his NFL career, he's brokering insurance down in Methlanta. Other than the small school factor, he really doesn't compare to Dalton. Dalton has a NFL arm and NFL size, Moore doesn't. NFL arm doesn't mean he can throw it 80 yards through 2 brick walls, but that he can make all the throws at a good speed. Moore's ball is slow, DBs will jump them for easy INTs in the NFL. I'd rather just sign Timmy Chang than waste a draft pick on the same damn player...
We don't need a noodle arm we need a Cannon. He's not worth it. We desperately need other positions like WR so we can surround sanchez with a group of recievers and stay that way or years to come. A saftey, blocking TE, OL, Pass rushes
No way should we let go of Pool, are safety depth is on thin ice as it is, and Leonhard might be back.
Keep in mind this thread was months ago. I wouldn't give up on Pool in FA either but you cant discredit the op for Jimmys injury.
This was made a a while ago first off, also I really feel that the Jets will be running a base set with 1 S and 3 CBs with Wilson's improved play. Obviously something I should have mentioned originally but I did write it as a replay. This mock off season has changed quite a bit since I have done it, an updated version will come soon
