This is a ridiculous comment. What late Day 2/Day QB prospects you know of that can carry a team on his back? If he could, he'd be a top 10 picks with the measurables and intangibles he has.

Gruden circled back around to Brissett later in the call, discussing what he likes most about the N.C. State quarterback who transferred from Florida nearly four years ago. "In terms of Jacoby Brissett, I just know a lot of people that have worked with him," Gruden said. "I know he has NFL size. He's got some really good athleticism. He's, I think, proven that he can make all the throws at the college level, and he's just got to tighten up his consistency. He's got to do it down after down, game after game, week after week, I think, to really improve. But he's another guy that's going to have to get underneath the center more and adapt to a different style of football." Brissett won't be the only former Florida quarterback from the Will Muschamp years to make it to the NFL should he earn himself a spot on an NFL roster. Tyler Murphy was on an NFL roster last year as a receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers, while multi-year starter Jeff Driskel is also expected to be a draftable prospect in this year's NFL Draft.
I don't think I've ever heard Jon Gruden say a single bad word about a QB prospect. He says Cook is the best QB in the draft and he, Goff, Wentz, Lynch and Hackenberg are all "locks" to go in the first.
The fact that the Jets can't get people to bite on a 1st round pick for Mo tells us that he's not perceived as a superstar caliber player by the NFL. He's 26 years old and he just had a 12.5 sack season as a lineman in a 3-4. The Jets should have no problems trying to trade him for a single 1st round pick. This is the argument for not signing him to the long-term deal at superstar compensation. You don't get ahead paying good players like they're superstars. The NFL is giving the Jets good guidance on Mo's value. Somebody out there would pay him like a superstar if he was free and clear on the market, however that would likely be a bad team trying to make a splash.
Nice. Thank You very much. The Lovers of Mo are going to still blame this on his contract. But no one DL that gets drafted this year will give more production than Mo. He is still young. He is just not the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Good Saturday, Yanks won. I can definitely see where the attitude concerns with Cook come from, he does come off as a little bit of a douchebag in Gruden's episode. I can't put my finger on what it is, there's just something off. He did come off very knowledgable about the game, which is one of the things I like the most about him as a prospect. Gruden spent the entire episode raving about him, calls him the best player in the draft (definitely a stretch). He showed a bunch of All 22 views of throws that are unbelievable. I was impressed by Cardale too. His football IQ is a lot higher than I expected from a guy who's started less than 10 games. I think Jones and Cook are my 2 favorite realistic QB options with Goff and Wentz gone. I'd also like Prescott.
