None of those three are worth acquiring.

Brandon Jones is a guy I like. He has pretty good hands and is a good blocker from what I could tell. He caught 8 passes in the Bears game, which was the one game Tennessee really aired it out last season. The Rams and 49ers are interested in Jones.

I am sure rex wants that. i look at it like this though, the fact that we will have either clemens or ratliff behind center, other teams will not fear either of those guys until they prove themselves legit starters. if we do not get a wr who is a threat to opposing d's jones and leon will have their work cut out for them. how effective will our d be if they are constantly on the field?

I am happy about the moves made so far and when the lito deal is finalized and leonhard is signed we will have a good looking d on paper. i just do not know how good that d will be if we can not move the chains because we do not have a legit air attack and teams constantly have men in the box waiting for the run.

If they decide to start one of the current three QBs we have now then look for the first pick to be Moreno or Wells. There is no depth at RB, Jones has an attitude and either of those two guys would be great when Ryan says he wants to run, run and run some more.

bottom line, Rex's schemes better get us to the QB or our db's will be sitting ducks again. we dont have a dominant pass rusher yet therefore we'll need his blitz packages to do it for us. we need to draft a back with some speed and evasiveness. with the line we had TJ should have rushed for 2000 yards.

I would expect them to wait a bit before signing a veteran, but I believe they will as insurance. The problem is do you carry 4 qbs? I am going to say Clemens and Ratliff are staying, sign a vet, then what about Ainge? I like this guy from what little I saw of him playing. He has potential.

He can be on the practice squad again where he was last year before getting hurt.

Stuckey did nothing? I saw much more than nothing. I saw a guy who looks like a very solid slot receiver for a while for us. I don't remember him dropping a pass. I remember him catching some tough balls in traffic while getting crushed. I saw a guy who was very quick and picked up YAC after getting the ball. I think Stuckey is going to be very good for us.

Clowney is not a slot receiver. He's an outside guy and hopefully gets his chance this year.

I predict either Kyle Boller or Byron Leftwich will be on our opening day roster for 2009.

Since we filled/are filling ILB, CB, Safety, and OL, the Jets should go offense with both of our 1st picks.

I really think Freeman would be a great addition to our team and he can definitely throw in the Meadowlands winds. Rex saw how well Flacco did when they put a strong O-line and Run Game with him, and I think the same can happen with Freeman.

He was inconsistent in college, but mainly because he had no talent around him. Give this kid TJ/Leon/O-Line/Cotchery/Keller and he'll be a very good NFL QB.

Freeman sounds like a clone of Kellen Clemens.

Chris Wells is 6'1 230 and the fastest of any of the top backs. I see a little Jamal Lewis in him when I watch him run. If he slips to 17, I'd go Wells.

Kenny Britt from Rutgers (Bayonne High) with the 2nd pick. 6'4, 230, strong and can run.

We have three young QBs on our team and any one could be the next Cassel, well Eric or Brett could be. I have given up on Kellen unless he has a drastic improvement over the last two years.

I have no problem with that. Moreno is a baller. Hes more powerful and bigger than people think. 5'10'' 217.

I can't wait to see Ratliff bring last year's pre-season to this year's season. Kellen, don't let the door hit you on the ass! :p

Now that the Chiefs have Cassel, I would love to make a play for Thigpen. He's young and he'd be cheap because Pioli obviously just wanted get his guy in there. The guy's got a lot of talent. Made the Chiefs competitive. C'mon Jets, make it happen. He's better than any guy we got right now.

With the trade for Cassel the chances of Sanchez falling to 16 is high. Minisotta traded for Sage Rosenfelds. Singeltary likes Hill ,but you can't rule out them drafting the Cali-kid.

I have thought all along that the Jets would target Sanchez in the draft, even if they had to trade up to get him. If you're right, I think it's great news. I like Ratliff, but who knows? The Jets cannot depend on what we have right now at QB, running team or not. I really hope the Jets wind up with Sanchez. I think he'll be a great QB.
